    Go Daddy always has those dollar domain deals, especially during holidays and other special occasions. Just subscribe to their newsletter and you will find a good deal on domains that way.

    How do you define cheap? Below 10$/year for both hosting & domain

    If not so cheap you can try buying .COM from Namecheap and hosting from Hawkhost or Stablehost and then connect them

    Godaddy is not a bad place for domains but only cheap for the first year. After that they are getting expensive, and even more when you want the privacy protection. Namecheap.com is cheaper and using their coupons it's getting even more cheap.

    If you are looking for hosting, do NOT ask google or the WF, ask webhostingtalk.

    GoDaddy offers .COM domains for $0.99 and $1.99; they have huge renewal price though. You can get cheap "Unlimited" hosting from Dreamhost... $22 for first year.
