Cheapest and Better autoresponder for a newbie

I want to know which is the cheap auto responder. fine for newbies. I just wanted to start list building. Is there any free services for that for 1st year ?
How to learn to handle them.

    I recommend either Aweber or GetResponse.

    I would stay away from free autoresponders, because later down the road you will want to transfer your subscribers to a paid autoresponder and it will be HELL.

    Aweber is like $20 a month and i believe its $1 for the first month.

    Personally I would stay away from any free autoresponders.. These days my preference is using a self hosted solution using SMTP leveraging Amazon SES (Sendy).. It's like x100 times cheaper than big names and has the same level if not better send rate once you set up SPF and DKIM.

    If you really want to go for the free option then I recommend the GWA autoresponder plugin... The performance and delivery rate is good...

    Just wanted to know is there any auto responder that provide service free for 6 month or free with 2000 member. Like that I want to start and learn these tactics.

      Sure there are free ones, its just that if you use them and build a list, then try to change that list over to the new service, most often you are not allowed to do that. So you will have built your list for nothing except some practice.

      MailChimp is the most well known of service that are free but you are much better off if you can afford it, to use a service like Aweber or Get Response.

    GVO gives you a free autoresponder for up to 500 subscribers if you host your domain with them and the delivery rates are decent.
    However I'm using Get Response - you can try it for free for the first month!

    WTF - Well like I said the GWA WP Plugin has a free version available with no limits on number of subscribers... Its great way to start learning... Why the confusion with the above messages??? The links provided will help you start learning some of these tactics....

    And finally as per subtle suggestion you should check out the email marketing forum especially as this thread belongs there..........
