Curious question: why would the fact that the vendor whose product you're going to promote happens to be using ClickBank as his affiliate-network and payment processor be relevant to what traffic-sources would be best for you?

Here are a couple of threads which ought to help you, anyway ...

It all comes down to testing and tracking. Every market is different with different problems and needs.

What works for one person may not work for you and vice versa. It depends on your ad copy, landing/squeeze page, how well you pre-sell and the offer itself.

And yes, the niche market is more important than the processor the vendor is using

You really need to study your market and find out what keeps them up at night. The more you can narrow this down and find your ideal customer, the better.

That way you can cater your ad copy around this

Because people who want a bigger penis, keyword software and to build a backyard chicken coop are all weirdoes who must hang out in the same place as those who want to lose belly fat, while getting back their ex back and playing a cool flight simulator.

The only logical answer for this off the wall thread.

What is the best traffic for Clickbank products? The best traffic is traffic from your email list! Instead of sending traffic to a Clickbank offer, why not build your own list of subscribers that you can follow up with and make additional sales with? Study your niche, build your list, and provide solutions to them. If you are sending traffic directly to offers, it's just going to burn a hole in your wallet. Without a list you have no real business!

I do not suggest direct linking to clickbank offers. I agree with Mathew, you want to have a squeeze capture that leads to your product. At least its what works for me as a clickbank affiliate. As for traffic, there are tons of ways, I don't know where to begin

I would also have to say that the best way to promote clickbank offers is to build an email list. Many people mention that the average return per subscriber is $1 to $3 per month, so if you make a goal of building a list of 1,000 subscribers, that would mean $1,000 to $2,000 per month of residual income, all you have to do is set up an autoresponder to send valuable and promotional email copy once every 1-3 days after they sign up.

Once you build a large enough list, and with a autoresponder campaign set up, you wouldn't have to worry much about having to build traffic since you have you'd get sales simply from having email blasts sent out to your opt in list.

In the past 4 days I spent $600 on Bing Ads, well $500 since there was the free coupon, and I now have 220 subscribers. Yesterday I sent an email to my opt in list, and got 2 calls from prospects who are interested in buying a natural health product I sell, which can turn into a $200-$300 commission if I close the sale, and that's only 1 email sent out to a list of only 220 leads. If I had a list of 1,000 and sent an email if the averages stay the same I would get 10 calls out of wish I'm sure would turn into at least a few sales, so $400 to $500 at least from one email.

    Hey JRooney32,

I think the best way to promote ANY product is to NOT promote it. Here's what I mean:

    1) Start your own blog -- build your audience and establish a relationship with them, so they trust you when it comes time to recommend a product. Don't pitch.
    2) Build a list -- yes, you want to build a list also; but, I wouldn't recommend your product there either because one, that's what every IM is doing; and two, it's still too pitchy.

Instead, use your list for post updates; but these posts would be reviews on your products. Don't tell them it's a recommendation or a review, but direct them as you would a regular post, which brings me to number three...

    3) Post format -- In your posts, make sure to give free information by first, showing how the product has helped you and how it can help them. THEN (and only then) should you recommend the product at the END of the post. But again, don't be pitchy.

    4) Don't hide -- Finally, place in parenthesis that these are affiliate links. People will most likely already know, but it also tells them you're not really after the money -- even though in the end, you may want the money.

Personally, I don't mind being sold to UNLESS I've been manipulated into a product that's not helpful -- that's when I loathe the concept of "selling" (in this case affiliate marketing).

Also, I know this format might take awhile, but in my experience, conversions aren't really good with promoting products through paid advertising anyway. I want continuous business and the way I know, is only through building long term relationships with my readers.

You'll make more commissions, if you build a loyal following first and not promote to them; because in the end, ironically, they'll want to purchase your recommendations as a thank you for helping them out.

    Hope this helps.

Safelist Mailers work well for me. I ran a mailing across about 30 different mailers last week for a ClickBank product and cleaned up about $180 from it.

There are only 2 types of traffic

      1. Free
      2. Paid

My suggestion is to focus on 1 traffic source and master it...

Unfortunately no one on this forum is going to tell you

I promote this CB product, I use this traffic source, I spend this amount, I use this page, I get this return back...

Even if there was someone who would tell you that, it may not work for you...

My suggestion is to pick 1 method get some traffic then do the following

Test, tweak, and track with small amount first until you get something high converting

then sink your money into it.

      no shortcuts

POF sucks. Take a Clickbank product and sell it as if it were your's. I'd get a high ticket item and promote it though. Especially if i can't get the customer name and do backend marketing. Watch your costs if you do paid advertising.

Perhaps quality Solo ads. Buyers list if possible. Yes you can get solo ads in any major market. I don't advise safe-swaps for mmo unless you are really desperate to use rehashed w$^&%d out lists. Email trumps all traffic online if done correctly.

If you can hack it, seo can give you sales but you have to move like a ninja. And that can take forever unless you are shelling out cash like crazy at no comp BUYER keywords that have monthly traffic. I will say that if you do seo now it is much easier to rank a satellite site than your own. Blogger, amazon page, youtube, (sites that big g loves) just tend to fly up the serps like nobodies business.

    Hey guys,

Im wondering what the best traffic source would be for promoting a CB product? Im leaning towards Facebook and POF.

Both those traffic sources can work if you use the right funnel and product.

In my personal experience, Facebook traffic does not convert well if you are direct linking to clickbank products. I've tried to market several CB products using Facebook ads and direct linking with no good results. Nevertheless, if you build a fan page and are active on that fan page, and/or direct traffic to a squeeze page followed by an autorespoder sequence you can convert leads into paying customers.

There are several factors at work here:

    1. The quality of the product
    2. The front end of the Clickbank product - how well it sells.
    3. How targeted your traffic is ( demographic, device etc.)
    4. How good you are at making ads that get decent click through
    5. Campaign optimization - you should always optimize to get cheaper clicks or better CPM
    6. How effective your sales funnel is (landing pages, autoresponder sequences, social strategy etc.)

Here are some tips for Facebook:

    1. If you are targeting mobile traffic, make sure your CB product has a decent mobile sales funnel.
    2. Don't direct link - either build a list, build a fan following or both
    3. Set up multiple ad versions/ ad sets and optimize
    4. Make sure you have a funnel set up before you spend $$$ on ads

I have not personally used POF but I hear it works fairly well for dating offers. After all you already have a demo that is interested in dating. I'm sure it works for other stuff as well but it is all about optimization and number crunching.

The one thing I do recommend you do is get your own website and also build your own list.

It is far better and your conversions can go up when you have people go directly to your home page. This is when they can see that you are a real person.

One thing you don't want to do when you use pay per click, is to send traffic directly to a Clickbank product's sales page.

Can't build your list without traffic guys. I think the original question was how to get the traffic. There are a bunch of ways, examples would be: Paid Ads such as Facebook, Adwords, Bing Ads. are a few paid ways to get traffic. Free Ways would include Video marketing, articles, SEO Sites ranking for certain keywords, Solo Ads, Craigslist and Backpage ads, Twitter Post by using hashtags can bring a boat load of targeted traffic.
Just some examples of traffic sources, there are many other ways, just throwing out some ideas.
My opinion is that people are on facebook to check on friends status not to purchase products, I haven't had much luck personally with facebook. Adwords if done correctly, is how I made a ton of money, they are very strict, so you have to work a bit to appease them.
    Good Luck!

email list is no doubt a goldmine in affiliate marketing.but also, if you have a niche site, then you can still wreck some affiliate commission from it, promoting your links on your site is also another way to get traffic.social media and advert is also not left out.but still, a list is recommended

For ClickBank products or any CPS offer as a matter of fact the best traffic source is email.
People are more likely to buy from you, if you have built a relationship with them.

This is a very vague question. Unfortunately CB has tons of different offers in tons of different niches and each will perform differently in different traffic sources. You will likely have better luck letting us know the offers you are interested in and we can give some suggestions for traffic sources.

We are doing a few hundred a day on CLICKBANK,

and before you go thinking we are going doing some KILLER SECRET strategy, you can put that to bed.

Let me tell you I have spent over $30,000 on paid traffic, and nothing works better on CLICKBANK on all our testing that PPC <> OPTIN PAGE <> VIDEO <> OFFER

Again, if you want to do crap on clickbank, write a few articles.

If you want to do ok on clickbank, do a bit of list building.

IF you want to ABSOULTELY kill it on clickbank, get a few optin pages, and test till you get the highest converting one, and send as much and I mean, WORLD RECORD amounts of traffic to that optin page and build your list like no other.

Send as much traffic, build your list, and thank me later. Nothing, and I mean nothing works as well on clickbank, as LIST BUILDING. Take it from someone that has spend many hours sitting on the toilet planning, and test on teh computer, as I said, nothing compares to the art of list building if you want to CRUSH it with clickbank. No matter the niche.

But in all our testing, stick to weightloss, financial, relationship, health / wellness, and you will do well. Those are the best niches with teh best sales pages, and pull rates.

    Hope it helps.

Social Media is a great way to drive traffic for Clickbank but don't spam. As long as you are providing useful content you will be able to get hits to your website. You just need to be careful that you are not too active or else people would report you for spam. Youtube and even forums are a good way to help drive traffic also. Anywhere that you can post your link is good.

The best way to understand this is to send traffic to an opt-in page.

Once you do this, should start emailing your list on a daily basis and share a few tips and direct them to your product.

Above all, try not to make it too complicated.

It all depends on the niche of the product from Clickbank that you are promoting.
For example if the niche is dating and relationships, you get good results from POF
and Facebook. Niches like Weight loss get a lot of sales from Youtube Marketing
    and SEO.

These traffic methods will work good for promoting Clickbank products.....

Article marketing (Ezinearticles, Articles Base, Article Factory, Sooper Articles directories and so on)
    YouTube
    Email Marketing - build subscribers
    Facebook Ads
    Google Adwords
    Bing Ads
Twitter - Build atleast 1-2K followers from your niche. Keep tweeting and build followers.
and SEO of course, but if you get first page ranking for atleast 500 or 1000 monthly searched keywords. You may expect 3-4 sales per month if you rank on top 5. Obviously, this will depend upon niches.

    Hope this will help.

Although guest blogging is likely your best bet for traffic to your affiliate pages (such as to your website where you capture emails), there is no right or wrong answer for this question and it will depend on what your niche or product is. For instance, if you are marketing a weight loss or beauty related Clickbank product, you might get more traffic from Pinterest pins than if you are marketing a Clickbank ebook about backlinking. Just go where your customers are and that's how you will get traffic.

"ClickBank products" and "search-engine traffic" are usually a very poor mixture.

I always suggest to aspiring ClickBank affiliates that they shouldn't put time and effort into trying to attract SEO traffic, for two main reasons: first, it's very precarious and makes your business Google-dependent, and any business that's Google-dependent is no more than one algorithm-change away from a potential accident (or even a potential disaster), as so many Warriors have been finding out over the last year or two, some of them to their very great cost; secondly, for me, search engine traffic, in every single one of my niches, has been uniformly the worst-converting traffic out of everything I've ever tried - search engine visitors to all my websites typically stay the least time, view the fewest pages, opt in the least often and actually buy anything by far the least often. I admit I do get tons of search engine traffic to all my main sites (because high rankings for multiple keywords happen to be a minor side-benefit of the main targeted traffic-generation method I use) but I'd hate to have to make a living just from that traffic. If you have a good look round the forum, you'll also see plenty of other Warriors making exactly this point.

I can, but it's only personal experience and "your mileage may vary", as the saying goes.

I've never had any kind of traffic that converts as well as article marketing traffic, in any niche: for me, this has always been the best targeted, most responsive and most profitable (by far). (I'm including "traffic from guest blogging" in that overall description, too, because guest blogging is only really a different name for a specific type of article marketing. )

I've also had reasonable, decent, profitable conversion-rates from forum marketing, PPC (Google AdWords), blog-commenting, and question-and-answer sites (like "Yahoo Answers"), but nowhere near as good as from article marketing.

In all of my niches, search-engine traffic has consistently been the very worst-converting, for me. It's nearly 20% of my traffic (not intentionally, but just coincidentally because article marketing produces such good off-page SEO, when Google recognises your site as the original source of content widely syndicated elsewhere because you've accumulated initial indexations of content), but I think it's only about 2% of my income, because it's such poor traffic. (In my opinion, the people who find affiliate marketing almost impossibly difficult, and sometimes even come - quite wrongly - to the conclusion that "ClickBank affiliate marketing doesn't work any more", are often people whose only real traffic has come from search engines! ).
