Is NON Tier One Traffic Useful?

Hi everyone, I have a question that I hope some of you can answer.

What is the problem with non tier one traffic? Is this traffic less likely to buy online?

Take countries like France, Italy and Germany. These are wealthy countries and have vast numbers of internet users. Why aren't these good countries to target (according to some people).

Let's say I were promoting products specifically aimed at non-native speakers of English, but still able to speak English. Would I be able to successfully make money online by targeting these countries (non tier 1)?

I hope some people can shed some light on this for me!

Of course you can target these countries and you will also get enough traffic to your product or any thing you are promoting but as majority of the internet users and also majority of webpages are in English so you that's why these country are profitable for targeting.

It depends. There are some countries that are completely worthless for selling products, in my experience.

Let's say I were promoting products specifically aimed at non-native speakers of English, but still able to speak English. Would I be able to successfully make money online by targeting these countries (non tier 1)?
If you target and present it right. Is there a need or desire for your product in these markets? If so and the targets have the wherewithal to buy (PP CC etc.) you might do alright.

I think that the majority of it comes down to how well you resonate with your subscribers. The majority of non tier 1 are not frequently up to par with their English i.e. it may be limited, so it does make it harder to resonate and whilst sending out content or promoting a product.

There's a Facebook marketer on here somewhere who deals with many clients, and he put together a wealth list which included:

    United States
    United Kingdom
    Canada
    Australia
    Luxembourg
    Singapore
    Norway
    Switzerland
    New Zealand
    Hong Kong
    Ireland
    Sweden
    Denmark
    Germany
    Belgium
    Finland
    Bahamas
    Netherlands
    United Arab Emirates

But again... if you can resonate with them, then you could be working with some potentially big buyers. It's just going to take time to test it as it's always going to vary offer to offer.

I have had a good proportion of sales coming from non tier 1 countries. The problem is the language barrier (if you are an English speaking country). Plus it is often more hit and miss, you may pick up these sales along the way but you can spend a lot of time and money searching them out.

The best bet is; where you can more easily target potential buyers like with solo ads go for tier 1. Otherwise with strategies where the country is less out of your control, like SEO and social media you can be more relaxed about where your traffic is coming from.

What are you trying to sell? The US and UK are not the only places that can be targeted. What about places like Australia? There are very willing buyers there, all with money to spend. But what's popular in one area might not be in another.

Now who told you that?! Germany is known as one of the best markets out there, so is France, if you can market in their language. The French and Germans are not big on English, at least that's what I've heard from the other marketers.

I don't have personal experience marketing to these people, but I know people who have and have had massive success. I've especially heard accounts of success in internet marketing, since the market has lesser competition in there than the Tier 1 countries, and YES, they do buy.

I also know people who've had good results with German kindle books. Try them out for yourself and see. Don't believe anyone unless you know the truth for yourself.

I love targeting these types of countries

Typically I find the traffic is cheaper and it converts better.
Like you suggested though, be careful If there is a language barrier, hire a good translator and don't just use a free one.

I think a major reason that a lot of programs will pay more for tier 1 traffic, if they make the distinction, is that either they only operate in English, so they can't really service foreign customers very well.
