Quick Q on Clickbank Tracking ID: ?tid

If I use a Clickbank tracking ID such as 'toppage' I notice that when I click on my link and then click on the order button at the vendor site my affiliate ID changes...

from...

[affiliate = myaffiliateid]

to

[affiliate = myaffiliateid.toppage]

Can someone who uses and has sold using the tracking ID function confirm whether this is correct or if I'm in error?

I'm using PPC and don't want to risk losing sales over a tracking issue!

    Hi Scott,

    The affiliate code that appears on the order form is your main ID. Your tracking ID is internal, so for every product you choose and add a tracking code, your account remains the same, so you get credit for the sale.

    They are 2 different issues.

    No worries there. It is how Clickbank is set up. as long as your affiliate ID is there you get the credit for the sale. The tracking id shows up after it so that when you do make the sale you can see the tracking info. Pretend it's invisible since only you are looking for it.
