What's my next step for our sites success so far?

I recently launched (October) a website that posts viral trending video content along with a short article. Yes, I know, been done many times before. We've also been creating original YouTube content as well. We designed the site to be desktop, mobile and tablet friendly and is currently only running adsense and content.ad.

Everything is running smoothly and we get up between 5-8 great posts a day and blast them around on Facebook, Google + and Twitter. Since our launch date our Facebook now has 3.5K fans.

As for the site alone just this past month we hit over 150,000 unique visitors because one of our posts went viral. Since then we've been hitting between 800-1500 unique visitors a day unless a post takes off. Currently our Alexa Rank is 1.4M (worldwide). Our adsense last month was just around $300, but probably could of been a little more because during our peak traffic our shared hosting couldn't let all the request through and we've since moved to VPS.

Now with all this said I'm just looking for a little push in the right direction and where I should be focusing my time to improve further success with what I've built so far with my team. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ok I would suggest that you now need to maximise your revenue $300 a month for that many unique visitors per day is a poor return. I'd suggest either adding in ir replacing an adsense banner with an affiliate marketing link. Perhaps target a film subscription service or a technology retailer selling tablets. Use Google analytics to identify your demographic profile for readers and focus your advertising there. Affiliate marketing offers much more lucrative returns compared to PPC. Sounds ace. Wishing you well for 2015!

Greatly appreciate your feedback and am going to look into some affiliate advertising to replace the Adsense and see how it does.

      Thanks.

I would focus on acquiring social media fans especially on Facebook because they make content go viral the best. I think if you can run ads and just acquire as many people as possible because viral content is shared by pretty much everyone on Facebook.

I think you can also launch a giveaway and acquire thousands over few weeks if you can afford to giveaway a nice prize. Social media should be your focus. Viral content is discovered on social media sites more than anywhere else and is where it is shared so imagine if you had 100k Facebook fans seeing your content with just a few hundred sharing it, that could result in pretty much all your content going viral.

These types of sites are the easiest to make money, everyone wants to see that content millions share and it's all about directing traffic back to you and monetizing it. If I had time I'm sure I could make a site like this profitable in weeks.
