I'm Concerned- Should i be?

Hey warriors,

I have a website fairly new and a bought some banner space from this guy who's roughly in the same niche..This website has been sending me some nice traffic..Ive been receiving between 15-40 visitors a day from this website for the last couple of weeks according to my statcounter but the visitors don't stay and seems to only visit the homepage..They also comes from different places according to my statcounter..

Well here's the issue..Well this website hasn't been updated since 2012 and It only has about 10 articles on it..I tried pulling up the articles on google and couldn't find them nowhere..Alexa.com for what its worth says its in the 10 million range and my banner is ONLY on the homepage..My concern is I don't want anything to put my adsense at risk..So my question is, do you think these are real visitors and should I be concern about my adsense being at risk?

i think he is making fool of you by sending bot traffic to the site and why did you bought a banner on a site which is not updated from 2 years. You should look out in seo section of warrior for some seo tips

Did you do any research on the site before buying traffic, how much did you spend on traffic, how long does the visitors stay on your site? High or low bounce rate?

Yeah I got the point guys..Yeah that's what I was figuring.. The visitors don't stay on it at all.. Fortunately I didn't spend much on it at all..Live and learn..Thanks for the reply guys..

The traffic might be suspect. Then again, maybe people don't find your site very interesting and click away immediately.

Stop that right now my friend, and cancel any deals with that site, that is my advise, more than sure you are at high risk there, since it has not been updated in 2 years, who knows how many more bad surprises still are awaiting you there....ROORAAAR...!!! no kiding

  24 posts in this thread and not ONCE did anyone ask to see the main page. Not ONCE did anyone suggest that usually when doing a banner such as this, you would develop and landing page for THIS traffic specifically.

  IF this is the answer, every time something is not working.. it is no wonder many here bounce from one thing to the next. where is the accountability in this? where is the research and testing to ENSURE its not the LANDING PAGE itself?
  
  The internet is not AREA 51 for the love of something... There does not have to be "they are out to get you" theories running around. Get the traffic, fine tune the traffic, fine tune converting the traffic.
  
  NO WHERE in those 3 steps is there suspect the traffic to be suspect.... once you have followed through those 3 steps to the best of your ability THEN start in with being suspect.

I don't think traffic may be suspect... and of course you get traffic from other sources
even IF you can't find your articles on google
because Google isn't the ONLY search engine...
so that proves it...

Try running the website through SimilarWeb.com. 40 visitors a day at even a ridiculously high 10% click-through-rate on your ad means he's getting at least 400 visitors a day and over 10k visitors/month.

SimilarWeb should show at least 10k traffic.

Not 100% accurate, but it's still another measurement you can take to verify the credibility of the leads.

It's probably referrer spam If traffic doesn't go anywhere else on your domain. Assumes it's easy to navigate your own site.
