Need Marketing Help for My Business!

Hello Warrior Community,
My name is Ben and I work for a small insurance brokerage that has been in existence for 25+ years. The business is thriving but during our downtime, we would like to spend $500/month on advertising to bring in clients (instead of only relying on referrals).

Please advise me as to what you all think might be most beneficial to our business.

    Ben,

I suggest you spend some time here on the forum and be observant. What you're asking is "how do I do Internet Marketing for my business?" . . . which is what this whole site is all about.

No one knows your business like you do. They don't know how you currently market, who is your market, what you offer, how you're different from the competition, and on and on.

Spend some time here, learn the issues, the challenges, and the proven techniques. No one is or can hand you all those things in a post here in the forum.

Lots of folks will help you when you ask pointed and specific questions . . . but you're not going to get good advice from people who want to help but know absolutely nothing about your business, your marketing strategy, and what has worked in the past.

Good luck to you and welcome to the forum,

    Steve

      Steve,
I didnt meant to make it seem like I was asking "how do I do Internet Marketing for my business?" I was asking more for people's opinions on marketing practices for our Insurance Brokerage. I did some searches through the forum and did not find anything specific enough. I was hoping someone had some past experience in the field. I also posted to the offline section as well.

Like you said only we know our market, product, etc. but that does not help. We dont have the ability to try everything.

I was hoping to come on here and discuss with someone the business and what has worked and not. That is why I made the post Steve

Well..what online advertising do you do already? That would be most helpful before we can continue.

Right now we are doing Mailchimp newsletters, Google remarketing. We dabbled in facebook advertising and adwords.
We are looking into facebook ads, adwords, and Pandora Radio Audio advertising.
We just don't know which media would be worth to invest the money in. We haven't had much success with what we've done so far.

Still, as Steve said, it's just about impossible to give you a straight advice here without looking at your business and marketing as a whole. Google Adwords is a great tool, but may not work for someone, or you just don't do it the right way. And the same goes for every method. There is no generic advice for your question.

        I've sent you a PM.

That depends on your demographics and the advertisers demographics.

    Here are a few suggestions:

    1) Promote on Google Places
    2) Google Adwords & Bing Ads
    3) Referrals with great incentives
    4) Email marketing to past clients
    5) Joint ventures with non-rival companies
    6) SEO

You might do well with some short, well written and produced explainer videos hosted and search engine optimized for your location.
