Migrate from Bluehost to Weebly?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi- I have a functional website I need to shut down on Bluehost. And I also have a hosting account with Weebly. I received a warning from Bluehost that I am using up too much space - and I need to up grade or I will be shut down in 2 weeks. I guess my plan will be to start the process of copying content on Weebly and recreate my site. That part is easy -because I can use a temporary name while I build, then I am kinda lost as to how to bring my domain name over so my site won't be down. Can you help guide me? You need to do this by pointing your domain-name from the registrar to your Weebly site (which - as you rightly say - you can prepare there in advance on a subdomain), NOT by transferring the domain-name to Weebly.

There are instructions here on "how to do it", including a pre-written request which you can, if necessary, send to the support staff of your domain-name registrar, asking them to do it for you: Domain Registrar - Support Articles

If you need to much space then you will get a warning like that sooner or later from your new host too if you do not select the right plan to begin with.
