Alternative Services to Market, where to start?

Hi all, I am looking for a good way to market a site that sells alternative services... reiki, spells, tarot.

Any ideas? Are there any marketing companies that can do it for a percentage of the profit?

    Hi MaxHeadroom78,

please explain what exact goals you want to achieve and where you are starting from exactly.

You are looking for advertising agencies specializing in this topic niche or you look for SEO etc.?

The more specific you can explain, the better chance for best fitting advice & solutions to come.

      Thanks NSA!

Well, I am new to marketing, I mainly just built the site, but have no clue how to get them business, especially since it is such a specialty niche. I would be happy handing it over to anyone willing to market it, or to any guidance about where to start marketing it. There is no advertising budget, so I would be making a percentage of whatever sales I brought in for them.

If you want, you can PM me the URL of the site. I can take a look on it and provide you an honest feedback. I could suggest what can be done. Have seen and done a lot in IM.

Just need some time to check overall.

Are there any marketing people out there that work on a percentage of sales rather than hits, is that even a thing?

If you have digital products to sell, you could sell them through a platform like clickbank or JV Zoo and offer affiliate commissions.

Your niche is a good one and has a lot of traffic and buyers available.

              Here are some ideas:

              Facebook/Social Media
Create a page. Login as your page (drop down at top right) and visit other pages in your niche. Simply post responses and engage on these other pages. No need to overtly promote. If people like what you post or are interested in what you say they will click your avatar which takes them to your page.

This is a great niche to engage in socially.

Create cool "click bait" titled posts on your site and drive traffic to your site by sharing those posts on your facebook page.

              PPC
There are a lot of great keywords you can target pretty cheaply and do paid advertising through facebook, adwords, bing ads, etc.

              Guest Posts / Banners
This niche has MANY amateur blogs that don't really know what they are doing from a marketing and monetizing perspective. Many are just very passionate about these topics.

This niche is a bit easier than others to find poorly monetized blogs who will rent you banner space for cheap. Also guest posting and cross promoting work well in this niche. It's easier to find like minded blogs that will accept guest posts than say weight loss or MMO.

              YouTube
Another great resource for free traffic and lots of people searching for info on these topics. Again many poor marketers make it easier to rank your videos at the top.

Use Google to look for other blogs in your niche. See which are poorly monetized. See which have an opt-in form and are building a list. See what products they are promoting, etc. etc.

In general this can be found under what is called "affiliate marketing".

There are specialized marketplaces for exactly this.

Advertisers (like you) can offer concrete services/products and conditions plus some marketing material like banner graphics, affiliates (marketers) can opt in and try to sell it for a given percentage or fixed pricings.

The advertiser can define, if the affiliates get payed by:
    - pay per lead
    - pay per sale
    - and more options

So yes, "this is a thing", so to speak

Thanks NSA! It is a really small site, I didn't know if affiliate marketing was really feasible... but I meant, are there companies that will do it for a percentage?
