Been out of the game for a few years..

Hey warriors,

I used to be heavily involved in the IM scene up until about 2 years ago when I took a break to devote my time to finishing my engineering degree. I used to really enjoy website flipping (coming up with unique business/service ideas, get them going, then flip them).

So, do y'all have any advice for me? Anything groundbreaking that I should know about?

I saw that Teespring seems to be a the new cool kid around here, and it does seem quite enticing to work with. I think I may head into that direction if I don't return to business/service flipping.

Thanks!

Many people are doing well with Teespring and it's definitely still worth pursuing, but one of the best the biggest things still going on right now for IM'ers is list building using either the "build a relationship' or "churn and burn method."

You can easily research this all over the Warrior Forum and there's plenty of free information to get you started.

Basically, you need to have a funnel set up where you can set up a free offer so you can capture emails, then offer an OTO (one time offer) together with upsells and downsells. Then it's a matter of emailing your subscribers daily with different types of emails, depending on which method you choose.

My recommendation to you is get serious now if you are serious about building a business online. Treat your business seriously and you will get paid seriously, treat it as a side gig, and you will be paid as if it is a said gig.

Congrats on your engineering degree. I'm confident you will find a great job with that degree somewhere around this country. Gotta go where the job is. To make it easy, the money you make from your future (or current) engineering job, take part of it an start investing it in your online business. Start small... $50 here and there, test, see results, duplicate and expand. Need traffic, fast? Use paid advertising. And be patient... i doubt if you'll get rich over night.

Welcome back! I would start where you left off and build on it. Website flipping is still a great thing to do. A good way to get a good feel on whats going on is looking at the trends in product launches, looking at the top products on affiliate sites and so on. It looks like you have already tapped into that a little with your mention of teespring.

I know this sounds cliche and very repetitive but the sooner you can figure out what exact model you want to pursue in IM the better...
then go about setting up your Funnel and catching some email addresses so you can begin the relationship building process ; which is so important in an IM biz

I think CPA marketing would be a good way to ease back in passively. You could just start back with a one page website and use free methods to advertise it.
