Fan page for a specific club vs Fan page for events

Hi Warriors,

I have started an offline promotion for a comedy club by sharing their flyers in a local area but the client agreed that I can equally promote the comedy club using a facebook fan page.

Presently, with the offline promotion I am paid only on commission by lead [when someone come to see a show presenting the comedy club flyer with my initials].

Also, I would like to know if I should create a fan page specifically for this comedy club (more targeted audience) or if I should simply use a more generic comedy/nightlife events fan page (for this comedy clubs and others in the country).

Many thanks.

If I was you, I'd do a specific one for the club...makes more sense that way...target people close to the club via zipcode in Facebook and then target your demos + keyword target big stand up comedian names....small demo with better results....worth a test...

The problem is that the club at any time can claim the ownership of the fan page.

There is no reason for them to do that if you have a good relationship with them and you name your page correctly. Try something like:

        ComedyClubNameFans

Just to be clear, you are talking about a facebook fanpage, yes?

Because website domain names are an entirely different animal

The problem is that I would prefer to have a fan that will be juridically independent to a client/another business behavior/humor. The present client is not the most honest I met also our relationship vary but building a fan page remains a part of my promoter role at the same time.

Yes, I am talking about the a facebook fan page.
Unless you have a clause in your contract prohibiting you from doing it, why don't you make your own page independent of the one for your client?

You hand out flyers, that have your initials and a customer hands it in, you get paid? Are you being paid for the facebook, or did they just agree to let you advertise for free for them?

If you are advertising for FREE.... you want to do 2 things. Get a page on a website that you can direct the facebook visitors to, so they may print out, your discount coupon... that has your initials.

2nd... why would you advertise for FREE anything?
