How Do I Get My Own Domain name with Blogger

I see my blogs hosted with blogger having their own domain names.

How do they do it? I don't want a blogspot on mine.

Consult Blogger's instruction on how to use a custom domain name here, https://support.google.com/blogger/t.../1233381?hl=en

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

Be aware that pointing your own domain-name to your Blogspot-hosted blog doesn't exempt you from any of Blogger's terms of service, nor protect you from their idiosyncratic and inconsistent interpretations of them, and doesn't give you any more security there than someone using a Blogspot sub-domain (though granted, it looks better).

If the comments in this thread, and its links don't dissuade you from using Blogger, probably nothing short of losing your blogs will.

I would seriously avoid blogger or any free website platform. Grab yourself some cheap hosting. Much safer!

I will second all this. Blogger ,even with your own domain , is still a risk. I got two accounts deleted over the years where I hosted my own domain.

Having my own domain didn't help like I thought it would.

If you believe in what you're doing, then it's much better to get a hosted site, with a proper domain name. Unless you don't want to do something properly and then.... well.........

As others suggest, I also suggest that you avoid blogger blogspot for your blog even if it's custom domain or just using their subdomain. As it is free so it also means that they are free to delete your account whenever they want to.

If you have to create the blog then buy domain for it. After buying domain you can go to this link and follow the instruction to make you blog opens with you domain you purchased. You can buy domain from blogger itself (which may direct to other registrar).

    Follow this link- https://support.google.com/blogger/t.../1233381?hl=en

    Thanks

Do you know, Blogger is a free platform and is maintained by Google, you'll be taking a risk by putting up your sales and delivery system on blogger blogs. There have been a lot of reports lately that sometimes, for no apparent reason, some of these blogs just vanish without a trace. Many times, the people had spent years building up content. You've been warned.

Don't do it. You might get your own URL on the blogger site... then 32 days from now your entire Blogger account might be gone.... just cause you said something as crazy as, "I love cooking turkey and cheese panini sandwiches and putting fried Spam Lunch Meat in there too".

    Lol...

Get a Wordpress.org blog. You'll be able to have your own URL domain name, and you'll be happier in the end.
