Lead Magnet Course via Email vs Video Course

Hey guys,

Has anyone got any opinions on making your lead magnet course be either a email autoresponder series or a video course?

How much of an impact do you think it would have on sales?

Would I be disadvantaging myself significantly by not doing video?

Thanks!

Not as much as disadvantaging yourself by not simply getting it done...

You'll never know what works better until you get something going.

Pick 1 then go from there.

You should base your decision on the type of course you're offering.

If the subject matter can be covered by providing narrative and that method is easy to follow and accurate, then maybe an email course will suffice.

On the other hand, if the course material is better explained with visual emphasis so the viewer can see how something is done, then video is the better choice.

Here are two extremely obvious examples: If the course is about "100 Great Plots for Your Next Novel" then I would say email is fine.

If the course is "How to Draw Horses with Pen or Pencil" then the better choice of delivery is via video.

Maybe the best solution is to offer both. It's fairly easy to transcribe a video into text only. Some people will see this option as more added value.

Hopefully, you see what I'm saying.

Don't make it harder than it has to be. You could offer a free ebook, free email series, video course, etc... at the end of the day, if you do your email marketing right with great content and everything.... you'll still get sales - no matter what sales model you proceed with first. To make it easy for yourself... just sell the damn thing.
