What niche should I work with in affiliate marketing?

You can choose any niche and make it work, you just have to be unique and special so that you'll get recurring visitors to your website/blog/online presence. With this and a good product to market, you can definitely make it work, it just takes some time.

The weight loss and earn money niches are incredibly competitive, so you'll have to do something very special, something that next to nobody is doing in that particular niche.

If you are passionate about guiding other to do some thing that is very popular out there on the internet or in the life, you can start your turtorial blog and you will find many affiliate offers of the niche you have knowledge about.

If you are complete newbie, i would suggest you to stay away from the niche which you have mentioned, since this is the area which most of newbies start out and fail to succeed in making money online.

Instead there are number of niches on clickbank which has high conversion rates and low competition .

But before starting out anything do some research about the product and be sure to get right set of keywords to see some success.

  Niche selection is the most basic part of IM, You need to figure this one out yourself. If you keep asking for people to be specific, they will just go to clickbank, pick one then post it here.

You seemed to have answered it yourself. But you don't want to necessarily be too broad otherwise your work efforts will limit your potential. So only you can decide for yourself whether you want to primarily focus on "earn money online" niche or the "weight loss" niche.

Focus on building your business model around one of these. There's plenty of products you can work on promoting in both fields. You might want to consider promoting recurring monthly income products from things such as membership sites, or something I definitely recommend doing is high ticket sales.

Both fields could include both, but you have to decide for yourself what you're going to be most passionate about and find out what you can see yourself doing long term.

If you really want to go for hard competition niches like that as a newbie, I suggest you do some pay per click direct linking campains with Bing ads first. Even better, find a private affiliate program outside of clickbank with low competition.

Of the two, I'd recommend that you start out with the weight loss niche. You shouldn't go into the make money online niche until you've actually learned how to build a site and make money with it. This way, you'll know which make money online programs are like scams vs. the ones that are real. You'll know what kind of things an internet marketing program will have to teach you in order to make money with it. Does that make sense? Finally, Insanity by Shaun T. is a really popular workout program. It was the number one searched program in 2014 for weight loss. That's a good place to start.

Neither of those is a niche. They're both "markets", and huge ones.

As a newbie, the niches they include are very good niches for you to avoid.

Especially "make money online". Choosing niches from that market is the single commonest mistake that newbies make, and the single commonest reason for their failures. For fairly obvious reasons (but they're explained here, if they're not as obvious as I expected!).

The niches with "the most money about, in them" are the same niches in which it's likely to be most difficult for you to earn money, as a newbie.

To start on, I'd strongly advise you to choose a low-key, non-competitive niche in which you already have quite a bit of knowledge and/or the ability and desire to learn more quickly.
