Some Quick advice needed

Hey there,

I am completely new to online marketing in everyway so I can imagine my question might be a bit basic but I haven't worked out what to search for to find the answers on google so I am hoping you'll be able to help me.

I want to create a website in my niche that lists courses and also reviews them.

To get money I want the companies to pay me per click through to their site and then consequently, a percentage of any sale that came from my site.

That's what I want but I have no idea how to implement it because in my niche the course providers mostly don't have affilate programs in anyway set up.

I'd have a good idea how to set it up if I owned the course and was looking for people to direct trafic to my site but being the site directing the traffic I don't know what to tell the course owners to do. Obviously most are not particularly technical so i need to keep it relatively simple for them.

Anybody able to help me? Whats the solution?

Thanks so much

I doubt there's many sites that will pay your per click and also per sale. There are a few, but there's probably not many in any given niche and probably not all are "courses".

I suggest you don't reinvent the wheel. Instead, build a site and get traffic then check out Udemy's affiliate program. Udemy is the leader in online video courses. I think their affiliate program goes through Linkshare? (google it)

      Hi

I have the niche, and I know they'll pay because I was a course owner myself in this very niche, until I sold it recently. Each course sells for $1500 so although it's not the biggest niche its got value for both me and the course provider.

My issue is I don't know how to set it up from a technical stand point. Can you offer any advice on how to actually set it up?

      Many thanks

There's too many unknown variables to be specific and having both pay for sale and pay per click makes it more complicated. I'm sure there's an affiliate program script that will do this, I'm just not sure which one.

Personally, I would forget about the pay per click and go with commissions for sales. Have the course owner implement an affiliate program through JVZoo.com. You can set it up in any number of ways, including keeping it private. However, at $1500 per sale any third party fees will really add up.

Why not use a method that is proven to make money rather than try a whole new strategy?

You say you are very new. Since you are very new, you probably don't have the knowledge or skill to set a system like this up.

Why no use affiliate marketing while you learn how to build a business before you try and start your own program?

If you know how to set up sites and drive traffic then there are plenty of proven monetization models and products you could sell to make money right away rather then spend all this time figuring something new out.

For example, if you are set on promoting courses, try Udemy as they have an affiliate program in place and are a recognized brand.
