Cheapest domain transfer deal with free privacy protection?

I have a domain with Namecheap and I want to transfer it to a different registrar which has free privacy protection (whois protection). What deals do you suggest?

There are several that come to mind, but I wouldn't recommend. NameCheap is the only one I'd recommend for free privacy protection.

Same here! Last .com renewal plus whoisguard cost me $11.86. That's ok.

Not sure that any of the popular registrars will be offering free privacy protection anymore. Namecheap gives you 1 year free, which is nice. But since new domains now require verification, enabling privacy protection means the registrar now has to handle the verification on your behalf (since they are the contact). At least that's my understanding.

1and1 has free private register, not sure if it's worth switching to them though.

    Hi Valuable Solos,

I personally use: http://www.cndomainsite.com for all my Black Hat SEO Sites since they offer much cheaper domain rates than most others domain registrars and they also offer free whois protection, this domain registrar is based in China and I confirmed with them that they accept domains that are used for "Black Hat SEO" or "Adult Sites" or "Gambling / Poker Sites" or any other niche.

I also invited the CS rep of CN DOMAIN SITE to join this post in case you need more information.

NameSilo offers free privacy protection, and not just the first year like NameCheap.

They have low prices and often have coupons available. You might want to check them out.
