My second product. Need help and advice

Hi all,

My situation: I have launched my first product few months ago on Jvzoo (it was 2 wordpress templates) and didn't get any affiliates to sell my product. Now I am launching my second product (betting predictions). So here is my questions:

1. Do I need to promote my landing page to get more affiliates? I mean ads on facebook, adwords or something else? Or just upload my product to Jvzoo and wait while affiliates starts selling it?

2. Is it better to use Jvzoo or ClickBank for selling product? Maybe both?

Maybe there is some topics I should read before selling my products? I have read some about pricing, landing page structure, etc.

Sorry for my english. Thanks for answers.

Firstly, I think your business model for a newbie is all over the place. Why did you go form Wordpress templates to betting predictions ? Doesn't make a whole heap of sense to me. Just my 2 cents, so sorry for that.

Secondly, I have no idea how you could even get any affiliates to promote a betting prediction product. It's not what people here on Warrior want, and it also doesn't fit with the kind of affiliates you will find here or on JVZoo in the MMO niche.

Sure you can still sell it on JVZoo, but I think you'll have to take a completely different approach. If I were you, I'd go searching for as many similar betting products as you can find on JVZoo, and contact the sellers and try to get them to promote for you. I think that's your only chance really. Also banners on betting websites.

Also try Clickbank. It's worth a try and the place if full of potential affiliates. You need to go to Clickbank and look at how similar products are selling.

I was selling wordpress templates because I have 6 years experience with wordpress (I'm a wordpress developer trying to get into affiliate business). Also I have a lot of experience in betting and I saw that Betting category is one of the highly converting.

How I understand, affiliates are looking for well converting products (I mean EPC), so if I post ads on facebook for $200 for example and make some sales, my EPC will not be 0.

What should I offer for similar betting products sellers to promote me? 50%? 100%?

I can't comment on anything related to the betting market, and please don't take any advice I give you here. I'm just looking at it from my perspective which may be well off the mark.

I've got no idea what commission rate you should offer. Again, I think you should go to JVZoo and Clickbank and take the time to look at similar products rather than asking people here. Look at the sales pages, JV pages, the market as a whole. Get to know it.
You're releasing a product into a market you clearly know absolutely nothing about, and that ain't a good start. Sorry to be blunt, but it's the way it is.

If you're a Wordpress developer then I'd stick with that. It's what people here and on JVZoo want. Wordpress stuff always sells well if you hit the right need. Personally I think you're far better starting off in one niche - Wordpress, and keeping at it until you make it work. Right now you seem to lack a bit of focus.

Well done to you for creating products though. You're already well ahead of 90% of the rest and you're an action taker, which is really cool to see. All you need is a bit of focus and a plan to go forward.

I totally agree with Simon, put all your focus on Wordpress it's an evergreen market and you have a higher chance of getting affiliates as compared to the betting niche.

You don't just put your product on JVZoo or Clickbank and expect to get affiliates, especially if you're still new. You have to work hard to get affiliates. You need to build relationships with bloggers, popular people on social networks, product reviewers, forum members or anyone with potential to get your product to the masses.

You also need to come up with a strategy for launching your product and how you're going to create buzz before you launch. You can use Skype, LinkedIn and Facebook to find groups with affiliate marketers.

Find people who are selling similar products and ask them if they're willing to do a cross promotion, whereby you promote for them and they promote for you. There's a lot of ways to find affiliates but don't post your product on JVZoo and hope for the best, you need to put in the hard work.

    Hope that helps.

Make sure your product is actual QUALITY, affiliates aren't gonna want to promote an incomplete or scammy product

Both those markets are fine, especially if you are looking for a market or niche that you enjoy and can bring you the results you are looking for.

Especially when you are beginning a new sort of avenue for building an online income, it is a good day to try a couple of things to see which you like better.

50% is plenty for starters as a commission. In JVZ you can change your commission percentage for individual affiliates if you choose.

WordPress is indeed evergreen but the grandaddy of evergreen niches is betting. Betting systems can change so if yours is based on a topical idea, be prepared to find that the topical idea goes away and you will need a new topical idea. For that reason you might be sell served to stay off CB rather than risk a high percentage of refunds in a year or so, because your system is based on something that changed.
