Hi,

I'm trying to set up a Paypal account and wondering which one is best for long term use:

- Personal

- Premium

- Business (I don't have a business currently)

Then premier is suitable for you.

Yes, you can upgrade anytime you want. But in my opinion premier account is enough for send and receiving money.

Business if you plan to make A LOT of sales. Personal if you don't plan on receiving a lot of payments. Apply for the PayPal debit card as soon as you choose one. Gonna make your life that much easier.

PayPal premier account should be and ideal option for sign up a full featured account. Later When you have registered your company than you can upgrade to the Business account to operate transactions on your business name.

I have been using paypal since 2007 and i still have a personal account. I'm quite pleased with it, an I'm not thinking about upgrading it any time soon.
However, it depends on what you want to do with it. Say you want to open up an ebay business or do affiliate marketing ... you will probably need to upgrade it to Business in this case...

In your current situation, Premier. If you set up through a Corporation or other business structure, then go with business.

You can go with the premium option and later you can upgrade anytime you want.

P.:S: I suppose you need a Business PayPal account if you want to be a seller on Jvzoo.

I don't think so. I'm almost positive you can sell on JVZoo with a personal and/or premier account. I take on a student every 3 months or so free of charge and my most recent student just listed his first JVZoo product a month or so ago and he only has a personal account. He's made almost 50 sales so far without any issues. However, he does need to get each product approved manually by JVZoo before it goes live. I don't know if that is just something they are now doing for new sellers or if it has something to do with the type of PP account you have.

Since you don't have business, go with Premium. Paypal will be needing verified credit card with bank account and address for it though.

Do NOT use a Personal account.

Premium and Business accounts exist for a reason.

The horror stories you might read here on this forum or on other sites/blogs about frozen accounts are always one-sided. It's never the account holder's fault :rolleyes They never did anything wrong (right).

Both Premium and Business accounts at Paypal are "verified" accounts. That means that you have to provide something other than just an email address to sign up (i.e. a credit card or bank account), as while an email address is unique to an individual... it is not verifiable.

In my opinion, the use of a Personal account by affiliate marketers (and even many new product creators) probably accounts for 90+% of the accounts that get frozen by Paypal.
