Hi there,

I am planning on building a squeeze page and would like to include a video in it.

Does anybody know what software/code I need to do this?

Thanks

I recommend hosting your own videos for squeeze pages.

XsitePro2 has a built-in video player. The player is fine
but the included video-conversion software produces a video
with a bigger file size than it needs to be. Other than that
flaw XSP2 is a good solution that will just do it for you.

Otherwise you kind of need to decode the technology of
video in your own brain. The information is out there, but
my experience of learning it was not linear and I was growing
as a webmaster along the way so it's hard to prescribe
an exact ABC to you. There are a number of variables at
play with your hosting account and webmastering skills.

You could always just upload the video to YouTube and then embed it onto the relevant place on your squeeze page.

If you are paying for traffic I do not recommend using YouTube
or other video-sharing sites for your videos. Not only do
the watermarks make you look less professional, you give up
control of compression and streaming speed - the net result of
which is that your visitors who come on a slower connection
or a wireless "coffeehouse" connection will often be treated to
a video that starts and stops while it buffers. This is the
price your visitors pay for you using YouTube on your squeeze
pages. They'll repay your lack of consideration by leaving.

Penny-wise and pound-foolish, as they say.

Easy way is youtube , just upload your video at youtube and then get embed code of your video , put that code at your required place
    BUT
If you are paying your traffic to others like Adwords etc..or any other then this way is not good as for your traffic.

Because your traffic will redirect to youtube and you will lost your visitors.
So best way is host your videos with you and then place that video to your required place.

This will save your money which you spending for advertisement etc....

  • The easiest way to add video to your website will be to first upload your video on Google video or Youtube first. You can then easiily use the embed code to place the video where you want on your website.

you can upload video to you tube and then from it you get embed code. This code you use to place the video on your website where you want.
