Hello all warriors;
Is there any way to post other's article without penalize? Does the problem solve If I add their links in my post? Do you know any way?

    You need permission from the author or copyright holder (if it is not the author).

    Copying an article and giving credit is not enough. A lot of people have gotten in trouble for "curating" like this.

    Yes - just get the copyright owner's permission.

    No; not at all.

    Many people - including plenty of Warriors - have had both legal problems and websites removed by their hosting companies (after DMCA site take-down notices were served on them by copyright holders) because they unwisely imagined that "content curation" raised no legal problems, and made the huge mistake of effectively taking "legal advice" from curation enthusiasts without legal qualifications, thereby forming some rather distorted perceptions of what "fair use" means, if/when your site has any commercial intentions. As so many have found out to their cost (often having made the mistake of believing what "curation enthusiasts" and sellers of "curation software" or "curation services" wrongly told them a few years ago, when the "curation craze" was at its height), the reality isn't nearly so simple.

    Don't imagine, if taking content without express permission, that including a link back to the original will somehow exonerate or legitimize a breach of copyright - it won't.

    I wonder if the OP meant penalize as in Google penalty for duplicate content, and not related to copyright. OP, can you please clarify?

      I would think/hope that even if he did, the prospect of a lawsuit, or (far more commonly) the disappearance of the entire website as the host's response to understandably receiving a DMCA notice, might rather put him off the idea, anyway? Your observation seems to me a little like expressing concern about whether someone who breaks into someone else's house and electrocutes them is also technically guilty of illegally "abstracting electricity": given the overall context, who really cares?

        Hi Alexa first time I meant google penalty. but when I saw your answers another question comes to my mind. What about if I use choose some part of some ebooks and then reference to the real book(for example in Amazon website). Do you ever see flazx.us there are many ebooks for free there, while I think they should not be free and amazon sells them for dollars.
        Can you clarify it please?

          What you refer to isn't "duplicate content" anyway: it's "syndicated content". They're two different things. The difference is explained in this post: Article Marketers - Lay the Duplicate Content Myth To Rest Once and For All

          There are no "Google penalties" for that, anyway. In theory, there are no SEO advantages to sites for syndicating non-unique content either, though (there can be a little bit, in reality, maybe 15% of the time, because it doesn't always work exactly as Google intends). There are SEO advantages to the site of original publication (to which Google attributes some authority as being the "authoritative site from which" content has been syndicated).

          Again, other than a sentence or two for legitimate "fair use" (i.e. quoted for discussion/analysis), you'd be breaching the author's copyright if you quote from a book without permission.

          It's a legal minefield. Lawyers and courts don't even agree on exactly what "fair use" means, for this purpose!

          Again, in practice, a much more common problem is the removal of your website by the hosting company, in response to DMCA-notices served by the party whose copyright has been breached.

    Well stated Lexy,,

    Many authors of content are very willing to allow their original content to be re-published. You may be surprised at the response you receive, if you just ask. And this is true of original images as well.

    Bottom line: if you do not have permission: don't do it!
