Article Marketing or Guest Postting on other Blogs to promote your blog

If you were to promote your blog, what would you choose?

Guest post on other blogs or article writting?

I personally prefer to write a post as a guest on other blogs. Especially if the blog that you are posting is a popular blog. I find it more effective than article marketing.

What do you think?

    mmm.....

    now you got me thinking....

on a good blog, it could very well mean a short, but good, rush.

interesting approach - but it makes sense

    thanx

I agree with you as well. However, I prefer article marketing if I promote a product. But for my blog I use guest posting. It seems to work much better than article marketing.

I published around 30 articles last month and the traffic was really not that great. My first guest post published few days ago, and the traffic I am getting is more than what I received from 30 articles.

How do I go about making a Guest post on other blogs? I was thinking using articles to promote my blog when I set one up and interested in how to do this so I can try it out.

          Thanks alot.

You can contact smaller blogs in your niche and offer it. If someone accepts then do it and you can use it as leverage when contacting big name blogs..

Not talking about blog commenting "Guest posting"

My results from guest posting are bit better than from Ezine articles but still you have to use both. And don't submit 30 articles in one day... I'd do 1 article per day for 30 days, or 2 articles per day for 15 days. If you bulk-submit those articles they will get lost pretty soon in the new articles. It is not effective to submit a lot of articles in one day IMHO!

          Cheers

I'd recommend you spend more time doing article marketing than commenting on other blogs. One clear reason, most of these blogs still are not do follow. Though it's still a good idea to do both when you have the time but i'd do more of article marketing than commenting on other people's blog.

Nonetheless, Never limit your strategies and always test new ideas and techniques- afterall, the internet is bound to changes periodically.

Just go to Technorati or Blog Catalog, find blogs that are in your niche. Contact owner of the blog and ask them if they would let you post on their blog. But remember, you post has to be unique and have to provide information. No advertisement at all. Only advertisement is the link you will provide at the end of your blog post.

As long as the content is unique and good, i don't see a reason to say no. So just try it. Also some blogs dedicates certain days for guest bloggers.

That is great. There is no harm at all, if you can manage both.

Blog commenting and being a guest blogger on another blog is not the same thing. They both hae different effect.

You should do both. IMO, Guest posts are more effective - the link is probably higher quality (if it's do follow), and you get a lot of automatic traffic from that site's visitors. Of course, depending on where you're guest posting, and the rules of that site, you might find that the articles are harder to write, or that it's harder to work in relevant links.
