Daily routine for new niche site.

Hey guys!
Been doing IM for about 2 months now and i have just launched my first niche site.
Been trying to put togheter a "daily routine" to grow this site and this is what i have put togheter:

1. Create content - 1 article 700-800 words for longtail kw + add 2-3 pictures
2. Create 5 good social media shares
3. Post content to your site
4. Ping + submitt url to google
5. Make 15 forum posts
6. Answer 15 questions at a&q
7. Pin atleast 30 pins - change url and so on
8. Add followers on pinterest + twitter
9. Work on getting Backlinks 1 hour
10. Interact on social media 30 min
11. Post the social media post spread out the day

This should take me like 3 hours or something i guess. Don't really in the position to outsource anything yet since i'm just getting started and money is kinda tight.

So what do you guys think ? Is there something that should be removed or added?
And please if this is just retarded let me know so i don't have to waste my time doing stuff wrong
Ahhh this is going to be painful.....
Thank you guys!

To be honest, that seems like a lot to be done in just 3 hours.

Where are you trying to get most of your traffic from? SEO? Forums? Social media?

Also, how are you going to make money once people get to your site? Are you promoting something as an affiliate?

Looks like a pretty good outline to start with.
Now the next thing and the most important is-
GO DO IT, and actually stick to it.

This of course, is the most difficult part for most people.

Your list is good, very comprehensive. You might consider adding a few pages of content first, make sure your admin pages are up, at least the contact me and about pages, then go back to the first post and start on your list for each page.

You also don't need to complete an entire list run for each post on a single day. Breaking up your promo work with posting on social about one page, adding pins for another and answering questions about another one, will help break your day up and make it look more natural.

Then after a month or so, go back and edit some of the content, and do some more promo work.

If you keep track of your work in a spreadsheet, that might help too.

If you can do all that in 3 hours wow...

Do it everyday and don't stop

        Taking action is hardest part...

        Test and tweak it.

        Amp up whats working

Following a daily routine is good but you should also think out of the box a little. You could do a few other things that you may not do everyday and yet can bring in more traffic. For example you could do an interview with some famous Internet Marketer. Then remember to shamelessly promote yourself at the start and end of the interview. Invite people to visit your blog or if there is a hot affiliate product you are promoting then mention it too. Then post that interview on your blog or to your list or think of ways to get this interview seen by many people..perhaps like a membership site? Who knows what kind of effect this will bring. But it can only be good.

How to get an interview with famous internet marketer if a person is just starting his IM business?

              Martin,

You missed my point. Since everyone was commenting on his daily routine, I preferred to give my thoughts on the long term aspect. (perhaps I should have mentioned that in my reply). You see many times, people focus only on the mechanics of how to make money online and nothing more and that is important too I agree. But what drives this and all the goals that you've set for yourself and the business? It's your mindset. And since he is new to IM, I thought it is the perfect time to share some thoughts on mindset.

The interview was just my suggestion of not following the norm. I mean do you see everybody else doing interviews to generate traffic. Not everyone does that. But whoever does such things has a different mindset for how he wants the level of his business to go to.

That is a good routine you have there, but wouldn't worry about pinging your stuff, as wordpress has a built in pining system

That does sound like a lot to do in just three hours. How fast are you writing your articles? 15 minutes? are you using PLR for that part?

I am a writer and to write a quality 800 word article can take at least 2 hours without editing and after the research.

If I use PLR, an hour or two depending on the research and using a content plan. That's exactly what I am doing right now... gathering information for a content plan.

My routine is different from many others. The first three hours of my work day is strictly for clients. Then I take a break to take care of my House.

In the afternoon, I work on my stuff or another 3 hours.

    Sunday
2 hours of research for the week. Create content plan.

    Monday would look like this:

    1. Create content for the week.
    2. Write a blog post,
    3. extract points for social media.
    4. write for my list
    5.read and answer email.

    Tuesday

    1. edit content from previous day and schedule it.(blog, and Autoresponder)
    2. write and edit social content. for each day of the week.
    3. forums and social media for traffic push
    4. Research for monthly blog article (2,000 to 3,000 word posts)

    Wednesday

    1. Create and write ads
    2. Traffic PPC, List swaps, cross promotions etc.
    3. Link building

    Thursday

    1. Check links, and improve published blog posts
    2. This day I pretty much try to improve my business and make it better.

    Friday

    1. Networking

    Saturday

Evaluation day. Work on short term and long term business plan.

That's about my work week. If I finish early I may go to forums or socialize.

Interesting and very insightful. I am new to blogging and content creation, though i have spent years writing and designing. I finally launched gigConnexion to share leads, maintain a forum and blog about money.

I think i will find this very useful. Very happy to be here and looking forward to making new friends.

    Cheers!

That looks like a great routine, but I don't know if 3 hours a day is realistic to get all of that done. I spend at least 2 hours writing a 700-800 word article myself. What you have listed looks more like a 5 hour (at least) day to me.

where did you get that plan?

you need a target goal in mind, then define the actions steps to achieve that/those goals.
then you need to measure the effectiveness of each technique!

Sometimes I try things others recommend and they work, sometimes they don't. I keep at it and try to figure it out. sometimes I make up techniques based on ideas I have, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I keep at it and try to figure it out.

over time, I have created a marketing plan that achieves some of my goals. it's constantly evolving as I learn more and I am able to achieve my higher aimed goals as my experience and knowledge grows.

    I hope that helps

  • I would not do everything on one day. I would, however schedule a different day writing and blogging, another day for social media posting, a day for backlinking, and so on.

Why am I doing this? For me it is better to focus on one task within the span of 3 hours and I would come up with a more quality content/result than doing everything on the same day for 3 hours.
