OK.

So from what i can see here. 99.99% seem to be selling Internet marketing products/courses/mentoring I'd say almost every wso is catered for this niche

So my question is anyone made big money from products/services other than internet marketing?

What do you mean Big Money? I sell a couple of products off niche of Internet Marketing and I make decent money with my sites. I think the best way to go with online marketing is to have streams of income that leads to a river of cash.

When one streams drys out, you still have the other to look forward to and build on.

  • what i mean is all these income claims of $30,000+ per month and selling million $$'s products all seem to be from int. marketing.

Not only that all the build huge lists fast building also seems only catered for the int marketing niche

I'm in the MMO niche now, but I started out in the health and beauty niche, promoting products as an affiliate from my own websites. Didn't do amazingly well, but I guess I made about $1500 in my first 6-9 months from that.
Not bad for a complete newbie. Especially considering many don't earn a dime for years, or ever.

But there are definitely people out there making big money from non-MMO niches. The affiliate network I belonged to (only health products) published daily/weekly stats of the top performers, and the same few guys were always up there week-in-week-out with average weekly commissions of around $6500 - $7500 and sometimes more. And there were plenty earning $2500 plus per week just from that one network.

Also bear in mind that these guys don't only use one network. They will promote products from a variety of other affiliate networks too, so their earnings could potentially be truly mind-blowing. You'll never know.

These kinds of people are incredibly secretive. You can try and try and they'll never even give you the names of their websites, never mind telling you what traffic sources or techniques they use to promote. It's like getting blood out of a stone. Plus they never go on forums bragging about how much they earn. The biggest earning affiliates are people you will never even have heard of, and never will. They don't put themselves out there in the spotlight in the way MMO affiliates need to do.

Now I'm more experienced and I know how to drive traffic and create lists, I must admit that soon I am going to be seriously thinking about going back into the health niche as a secondary source of income. The marketing principles are the same in just about any niche. Once you know how to do it, it's just a matter of repeating it.

And list building is no different. List building in MMO biche is the same as list building in any other niche. MMO list building is more accessible than most niches by using forums like this with lots if potential partners and stuff like that. But it's still straight forward. If you wanted to build a list in dog training then you just go looking for email newsletters that you could pay to get on to, or do banner ads on popular blogs in that niche, PPC, Facebook Ads/Fan Pages, Bing PPC, etc .. Same with any other niche.

Oh I thought it was about using the Internet as a form of marketing for your business? My bad.

No....probably still to the same crowd.

Parts of it are, but there's still, understandably, a huge preponderance, here, of people who are here because this is where their customers are, in other words they're in IM/MMO niches. A look at signature-files will confirm that. If you look in an orchard, you're going to find apple trees, but that doesn't mean that they're at all representative of "land usage", overall - and in fact they're not.

I don't think you have a good view from where you are.

from what i can see here
Internet marketing is selling anything online...that's obvious. This particular forum focuses (now) on the MMO (make money online) niche which is what you "can see".

No....probably still to the same crowd.
Not necessarily - though some freelancers advertise here there are many more who work outside the forum - and far outside the MMO/IM/niche arena. There are members who have very successful online businesses who participate here but don't post their business details/links here.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

          This.

Some time, if/when you have the chance to do so, ask a ClickBank account manager what proportion of their "top 100 affiliates" he thinks are involved in IM/MMO niches. The answer may surprise you.

The teachings by the early members of this forum and even Allen Says himself (founder) were focused on IM as a business model for marketing virtually any product or service.

This marketing genius was light-years ahead of his time, and he often said in his books and rare posts that internet marketing is not about selling only money-making products.

In fact, there are far more profitable [niches] than IM/MMO, and he had amassed most of his fortune outside of these niches.

"Part of my success is due to the fact that I never looked at the Internet as anything but a big place to put a sales letter. It's still direct response, just a heck of a lot faster. ... The moneymaking market is so filled now with teenage kids acting like guru's that it's unreal. New people to the net are confused and lost, don't know who to believe."
            - Allen Says "Money and Power" (an interview of Allen Says by Bryan Kumar)

"Here", yes. Do you think that might perhaps be because this is an "internet marketing" forum? Not so much point in promoting "conversational Japanese courses" here, perhaps?

All the money I've ever made from my affiliate marketing businesses has been made outside IM/MMO niches. There's a huge "silent majority" in internet marketing, with no interests/business in IM/MMO at all.

Your mind attracts the money, the channels vary

Keep on clearing your inner world and the outer world will conform.

Intend to follow what you most love doing, and yes, over time, and with inspired action, and through detachment, the money will follow you.

    All the best!
