Just to let you know, I sent you a PM

What is it that compels WSO buyers to litter sales threads with this common post:

I have _______ [an issue, question, whatever] and sent you a PM.

sent two seconds after sending the PM?

OK. Sellers can see the PM in their PM box and respond there when they are ready to respond.

Don't be gumming up sales threads with this or other support issues. As a seller it is not endearing and does not result in a faster response. If anything, its a red flag about the buyer.

Probably the same thing that compels people to litter the main forum
    with WSO gripes.

Its funny you are saying this cause I have never sent a PM and then posted a post about it. I would send the PM and then wait. In fact, thats all I did for years as you can tell from my join date and a low number of posts. I always notice how people do this and it drives the thread creator / sellers crazy.

In fact one seller recently commented the following:
I have replied. Please check your pm.
Please allow me some time to reply cause I need to eat, sleep, bathe and look after my family too.
    Thanks for your understanding.

The "sorry, didn't see it, I'll rspnd ASAP" excuse post that comes up 4 weeks later when the sellers aren't keeping up with the customer service end of things and need an excuse?

The buyers who have already been burned seem to know to put that extra little layer of "attempted contact" in there.

I mentioned this in another thread, but will repost here

I was on a WSO and there were literally 3 or more pages of "Sent you a PM" then the seller "Sent you a PM back" this is beyond annoying.

Why is this a red flag about the buyer?
I think that this is just a way for the person who wants support to make sure that the receiver checks their private messages.

Yes but the person can wait a bit before posting about the pm that they just sent.

Yes i understand, but i don't have a problem with it. It just shows the seller handles support fast imo so not a disadvantage for the seller by "littering" the thread.
