Affiliate tracking for a website

Hey - I have been asked to track affiliate referrals to a friend's therapy site.

She wants to see more clients and pays a % for new referrals who purchase a package.

Is there a way to track these? I am not sure clickbank can do it.

Thnx!
Alex

You should provide more info. However, you might check out: clickmagick.com

She just has a standard HTML site she bought off the shelf a while back.

At the moment people come to her site via referrals, portals sites, etc...

She is considering doing Adwords or running a referrals affiliate programme, so anyone who refers a client to her for 1 on 1 training or therapy is paid a commission.

There are two ways to go with this

        1) use an affiliate management portal like clickbank - this is the easiest but most expensive way ( from a cost per sale point of view as they will take a percentage of each sale and a fee per sale ) but once you have set it up they will track all your affiliate clicks and allocate sales to them and pay the affiliates so they will handle everything) plus there is already a pool of affiliates that can market the product

        2) In house solution - this entails using a payment processing system such as paypal/stripe and using an affiliate tracking system such as wpaffiliate or Idevaffiliate this is much easier with a wordpress site as they all have plugins that you can use.

As other people have said you would need to provide more info. The affiliate platforms like clickbank are the best way to go if just starting out but if the site grows the costs do add up.
Also as we have found transferring away from clickbank can be hard work as you need to track all affiliates as if like us you pay recurring commissions.
        We currently use
        Woocoommerce
Idev affilate and stripe for payment processing and recruit our own affiliates.
        Cheers

She can also set up a shopify store and install one of the apps from the app store.

Or, for free set up the shopify store and create a variation of the product for each affiliate. Grant the affiliates access to only see the dashboard so they can see if something sold. The problem here is that they can see the customer information and steal emails and such.
