My Affiliate Marketing Plan - Critique?

Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to launch my first affiliate marketing business and this is the system I've got planned out. I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me feedback or let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.

I have lots of capital that I can put into this so if you have any recommendations for any templates or designs or SaaSes let me know.

1. Send targeted traffic using facebook ads to my landing page. I will target fans of facebook pages to do with my niche.

2. My landing page will be using either one of Leadpages 2 highest converting pages in their entire library. Either this: https://marketplace.leadpages.net/je...-landing-page/ or this: https://lptraining.leadpages.net/facebookadvertising/

3. I am getting people to sign up to a 15 day email course, these will be sent out using Aweber

4. Along with providing lots of free information and value in the autoresponder series I will also promote some affiliate offers relevant to what I am talking about. Eg. if I'm emailing small business owners, I will have an email about the importance of lead generation (and how to do it) and promote Leadpages at the end of that email

5. From time to time I may broadcast products to people in the email course and people who have completed it when I find really great products or if a major product launch is happening

6. At the end of the email course people can pay $47 for a video edition of the course and can subscribe for $10 a month to get more tips and value

I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has on that formula. I'd like to thank Jeff Lenney (think I spelt that right!) for his great post which inspired me to go out and plan this.

The reason why I'm asking for your opinion on whether this is OK is because I see people talking about building entire websites, keyword research, seo, writing loads of articles etc.

To me that doesn't seem great since that seems to be about waiting for success to happen, waiting for Google to one day pick you up, hoping that one day someone lands on your site.

I've got the capital for paid advertising and if it can get me results immediately then that's what I want to do.

Thanks!

It seems fine. You planning on split testing the pages right? If you have money for paid advertising I suggest you looking into google display network stuff as well.

I get clicks for super cheap there. I have a cpa set up that I'm paying 0.6 cents a click for, It gets about 2-3 clicks an hour.

The campaign I have for my book and in the last hour 46 clicks 9,275 impressions 0.50% ctr $0.11 cost per click $5.02- spent in total

Your plan looks great. Since you have the capital, you definitely want to invest in a tracking service, so you can know exactly what is working and what isn't and then you scale up your income quickly.

Your overall affiliate marketing concept seems fine. But I think, Keyword research, SEO and SMM strategies are also good, if you do the all the strategies in manually, then your website will definitely rank on SERP in lesser time.

This seems to be a good plan.

Make sure to build a custom audience too of people that have showed interest already in your email follow content. This will allow you create much more targeted ad campaigns and definately increase your conversions.

And ofcourse track everything and optimize your campaigns.

Wow! Well planned. Take immediate action into it and see if your system works or not. Don't settle. But for me, I would like to start in the niche market that I have the passion. This way, I will NOT be easily discourage if I will encounter some downfalls.

Not that there's anything wrong with this but you might want to add a bunch more traffic sources to your plan. FB traffic is notoriously poor quality and in my experience if you target tightly they pretty quickly run out of fresh eyeballs for your ads.

Excellent. The Facebook strategy is a good one, driving traffic to Facebook first then through to your sqeueze page works well IMO. I've used this approach many times and you get a good trickle.

Make sure you work out the numbers.
The money you put in on Facebook Ads must be less than the money you get from affiliates and subscribers.

And right now Facebook ads are very expensive

Your plan looks great to me . If you have enough money definitely try split test landing pages and banner ads.

Consider creating of fanpage where your fans/customers can discuss and share expirience
