Clone scripts, are they worth anything?

I am considering buying a clone script does anyone ever have success with these. I see there are a lot of people selling them but rarely see any that have success or if they do I do not recognize them.

    Of anything? I seen clone scripts of yelp, youtube, buysellads, ebay, but I have never actually came across a clone script that someone purchased and was able to market themselves to success.

    For these types of sites it seems like you have to be first mover or you are out of the game.

    It depends.

    Do your due diligence before you buy anything. Make sure the product is well written, and well reviewed. Make sure the developer provides up to date support for the product.

    What clone theme are you looking at? Post it here and maybe people who have used it in the past can comment for you.

      You are too late to get into these markets, the regular investment community will be the ones who will fund and create anything like this. Running something out of your garage to compete is going to be something you are only going to be able to do on the dark net.

    I've seen clone scripts such as Youtube, Fiverr, Craigslist, etc. None of them were successful, and some of the software are terrible. Question is, why not sell something that is considerably easier to sell.... another digital product or service? I think you'd do better with these.

      A lot of good replies have already been posted.

      You would also need to have compelling unique aspects to your offering to even have a chance at competing with the big boys. A clone, by definition, is lacking in that area.

    I think you may have some success with clone scripts, but only if you modify them so that the concept and niche is different. It is a cheap way to get the functionality you need, but maybe try to think outside the box with your application.

    If you have the funds, team, affiliate, marketing expertise and time to create a popular site with a clone, then go for it.

    I see a lot of Fiverr clones like Tenrr, Sixerr etc but they aren't profiting. The reason being is that their business model lacks buyers, sellers and quality products. If you want to build a Fiverr clone for example, you can simply advertise the way Fiverr does and bring in new traffic. One good way would be to create a niche buyer market so something like social media services, logo designs, article writing all separated on a single site.

    Avoid such clone scripts. Shiny object syndrome may lead anyone to disaster. Go after real tried and tested methods.

    You can search online methods. List-building, product reviews, blogging, amazon etc

    Stick to one that suits you. Follow the track where big money is being spent, you will get your share. Think abundance.

    You can easily create viral images websites, facebook timeline covers websites .

    I just created a website about vines compilations and I just take links from youtube and the script automatically gets thumbnails and plays the videos inside my apps.

    These are niche which will always earn u a passive income.
