    Hi,

Start by setting a goal to make your first 100$ on the internet then 1k then 10k.

You can start to work as a freelancer on Fiverr or Freelancer.com

Its the impatience of making money and searching for the magic formula that let most of newbies fail.

    Good luck.

Build a website and rank it for some easy terms. Best way to learn is to do it. You'll pick up most of the essential skills along the way.

SEO is a long and difficult journey...especially for a beginner. If I was starting out again I would focus on building a targeted email list on a topic I am passionate about. This way I'll learn the neccessary steps involved in driving traffic, building website pages, creating an audience, copywriting, marketing to people, etc.

I agree with Edwin - remember also that this is not a race - doing is learning. SEO takes time - do the basics - doing is learning and creates repeatable skills.

Determine your goals. It can become very easy to get lost in a sea of advice, and while one person suggests video marketing, another paid traffic (i.e. fb ads, ppc, media buys, etc) others will tell you SEO... And only you can determine yourstrengths and weaknesses.

    To put it simply... You'll need the following;

1.) Research & choose a niche or topic in an established or proven buyers market

2.) Install a one page compelling squeeze page that compels both paid and free visitors to opt-in to your email list (to do this properly requires a domain & hosting in my opinion)

3.)Deliver Quality & Highly relative information, products and/or services that your 'target audience' can relate to, and find value in recieving from you. (Build a relationship with said audience...dont just start slamming spammy emails like a pushy salesman. Give them incentives to trust you and the products you will then later recommend)

4.) Traffic - both free and paid methods.

5.) Test, Track, and Analyze your data ( click through rates, optin conversions, bounce rates, etc...)

Lastly, apply actionable and scalable methods, and be patient... It takes mostly time and effort.

All the above can easily be accomplished in 6-12 months for less than a $1,000.

Most offline businesses cost 5-10x the capital and just as much work (if not more!)

The hardest part is the learning curve, and sifting through all the unnecessary bs people will try to sell you.

Figure out what it is you wanna do online...who you intend to help, and please figure that out before you spend a dime!

Too many people contact me via pm or post they need help setting up a domain or webpage, and all the while they bought an autoresponder service without a clue how to get the priorities in order...then complain "nothings working for them"

My advice...dont buy anything until you know what & who your (potential) audience needs, wants, and/or desires. And remember; it's about providing them with solutions - long before you filling up your PayPal account with 10's of thousands of dollars.

Stick around... There's some people here that truly know their sh!t... Find them, study them, and become successful like them.

    Good Luck.
    All the Best,

I suggest NOT doing SEO. There is no guarantee. It is a good way to learn how to build and host websites though.

This is what I would do:

    1) Choose a niche of about 100k people on Facebook
    2) Build a landing page and connect it with mailchimp (learn sales copy for this part) reach 20% AT LEAST opt in rate
    3) Find offer / offers to test after they opt-in - only promote one at a time
    4) Build small 3-4 email autoresponder to start with value - do sales pitches as well
    5) Make facebook ads to lander (this may take time but spend $5 on each ad to test CTR and CPC, aim for less then 10 cent clicks in the USA
    6) Keep testing each ad till you are break even or make money AND your building the list
    7) If nothing, try new angle or a new niche
    8) Repeat

You can do all this above in a day if you focus. I've done it a few times and generated anywhere from 50-300% ROI while adding 1000's of people a day to my list.

    It works.

    Want a simple strategy?

    Here it is:

    1. Affiliate Blog on a Sub-Niche.
    2. Social Media, Forum, Viral, Offline traffic.
    3. Monetize with affiliate links.
    4. Grow list (research sales funnel).

Start out by registering a valuable domain. Should you ever wish to sell/ flip your affiliate site, a great domain of course ads value.

The above is not a full-blown plan. You'll need to research. Use the advice as a jumping off point. The above works. Works very well.

    Hey khcrew,
Not trying to be a pain in the butt, but if you have NO clue or unable to begin SEO and Social Media you might want to be careful in your Sig.as it kind of infers otherwise.

I mean how would you know what high quality designs for FB and Twitter when you have not even begun to look into these things ?

By far the most simple, straightforward strategy that requires the least investment and is able to provide a consistent income for you and your family is List Building & Email Marketing.

It works in any niche where there are products/offers to promote and a market for those offers.

Lets look at the Weight Loss Market, more specifically Weight Loss For Women Over 40.

Create a squeeze page and free offer (A simple PDF report is perfect, "7 steps to x in just x days" is a simple formula for creating a title and content idea!)

Create a 30 day follow up sequence in the auto responder of you choice, provide value and great content along with promoting affiliate / cpa offers that match your market.

Signup to related forums and start posting, using your forum signature link - Its that simple to get started driving traffic to your own funnel!

Once you have that nailed and you know your 30 day follow up funnel EPS (Earnings Per Subscriber) then you are able to start moving into the world of paid traffic - knowing how much each lead is worth to you.

    Good luck on your journey

    Knowledge.
More than anything else, right now, before you do anything else, you need coaching.

I would be wary of taking advice from people who just got started a few days ago (the blind leading the blind).

Without the proper knowledge you may find yourself still asking the same question a year from now...after you've spent a small fortune trying out various things.
Rather than just say "get coaching", I will recommend a guy who can teach you what you need to know.
It's really not that hard...if you know what to do, and what not to do.

There's nothing in it for me if you decide to get coaching from him
Here's a link to his coaching offer:

You can begin by start running some pay per click ads. Sign up to Google Adwords and drive traffic to the site you want to monetize. See how it goes, and get a feel for the whole Adwords interface... then eventually migrate over to Bing Ads.

Or... you can start off with some free marketing if you're low on funds. I would start with forums in your niche, starting a blog, and email marketing. Also, learn how to create a squeeze page and generate a lead.

As well as Adwords, he might also check out Bing PPC as well.

They are still lenient towards Sq. Pages unlike Adwords

Step 1: Find a Problem, Want, Or Need

Step 2: Go create or get the solution. (I perfer digital products becuase you control them, no inventory, no shipping, etc)

Step 3: Create a system to sell it

        There ya go.

The best strategy for any beginner is simply to find out what people, go get it, and give it to them (aka exchange the valuable solution you have with their money)

Welcome to the forum. I suggest you start by reading the rules of the forum. Not knowing the rules is NOT an excuse for breaking them, so I suggest this to new posters as often as I can. Here's where you need to read.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...rum-rules.html
    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...bers-read.html
    http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/pa...um-tricks.html

The next thing I suggest you do is learn how to use the Search feature of the forum. In the time it takes to ask a broad question, and dig through pages of useless answers; You could instead use the search feature and find the answers already provided. To be honest, most WSO's are created this way, and you can avoid paying by doing the search yourself.

Since you haven't given the thread any information to work on, I suggest you either start searching until you find something that peaks your interest. Or, you post more information about yourself. Such as, knowledge, skills, business background, ambitions, etc.

If you ask the broad question of "How do I make money online", you'll get dozen (possibly hundreds) of answers that aren't helpful to You. Narrow the question down a bit, and provide more information so the answers are more tailored to your needs.

    For example:

listen my friend , the easiest way to earn some cash is the youtube , create a review video for pre-launch product with good keywords and tags and title
share your video via social networks and do some backlinks regulary each day , -test it within 7 Days- Focus on Social signals Because in 2015 Backlinks have a poor result and lose their efficacy , the quality of backlinks before the quantity
Do you know how to make videos?
How about uploading them to Youtube?
Do you know where to find pre-launch products?
Do you know how to create quality backlinks?

I've done exactly as described above, and even earned money from it. But, I wouldn't suggest it to someone that doesn't know anything about Internet Marketing. I sure as hell wouldn't suggest it as the "Easiest" way to earn money online, either. I also wouldn't suggest this as a business model, as your business would be completely dependent on Youtube (who's owned by Google, the mother of rule changers).

Just an example, no hard feelings towards 'Affiliate4Ever' for his suggestion.

Why would you suggest someone spend money learning PPC ads, when you don't even know if they know the basics of setting up the rest of their business. Starting the learning process with Paid Traffic, instead of something like "How to build a funnel", is a terrible mistake.

More information that doesn't make a lick of sense.

Does the OP know how to set up hosting?
Does he know how to create landing pages?
Does he know how to generate targeted traffic to those landing pages?
Does he know how to create an email series?
Does he know how to monetize a list?

Why do so many people suggest complicated business models to beginners?!?

I agree with Ronyoung get into list building and building a blog to capture leads asap many years I tried different stuff before list building joining different programs, yes I did make money but it was not consistant and all my leads went to them but when you build a list it's a long term asset you have then when you have a list then you can promote to different programs and products etc.

    Hi..

    MY TOP 2 TIPS !

    1) Beware of the all the sharks trying to sell you their system of making $5,000 - $10,000 a month easily, there is nothing easy about building a online business it takes work, if you are looking for a quick rich quick scheme do not read any further here ;>)

    2) FOCUS ONLY.......ON BUILDING A LIST FIRST !

    3) Now do research on my #2 TIP and why I have suggested this path to you and let us know here what your research has revealed to you and why you agree or disagree with my advice !

anyone in here that said stuff like BUILD A LIST, and OFFER THEM STUFF, is light years ahead of all the other posters.

This has been a strategy that has worked since the year 1800, yet most IM'ers still hunt around for push button, crappy shiney objects, and forget about building a real business.

Good luck if you want to make $1million dollars by next Tuesday, that is never gunna happen. Any billionaire will tell you the TWO SIMPLE WAYS TO GET RICH ARE :-

    1) Inherit a billion dollars

    or

    2) work you Effin ASS off and build a real business with real clients.

    I like both too!

    Just saying.

Without knowing anything significant about your available fiscal and non-fiscal resources, then here's some general advice -- Stability should be your foundation, not your goal. Sustainable growth and expansion should be the objective. That means starting any income-generating venture from the ground up, and running it from the top down...

What is your skill set, and can you afford to invest any money to start an online business?

If you can't afford to invest up front then affiliate / cpa marketing is a good place to start as you get paid if the traffic you send converts into leads. A lot of traffic can be generated by doing manual tasks that take time, so your effectively working for commission.

Like others have said looking at freelance sites like fiverr can earn you some initial capital to invest in other areas such as list building and product creation to grow and leverage the internet.

I can see that you joined Warrior Forum in 2013. I do not know about your specific circumstances but to be honest, you should be making some income by now. One of the things that keep people hanging around and yet not making cash is seeking too much information - Analysis Paralyses.

My advise is simple - determine a niche to get started on, build a simple WordPress website, put Adsense, market some affiliates from Clickbank or other CPA networks (if u are lucky to get approved) and then try to build a list with some free offer PLR or simple report.

Trust me this is not that hard and there is nothing more you are looking for. Just get started!

There are so many areas in internet marketing that can generate you income, but if you want to build a solid foundation for long-term and consistent income, you need to be building a list from day one.

I know many already know this but are tired of hearing the "same old thing", but I'm kicking myself to this day because I procrastinated for years when it came to building my list.

When you start building your list consistently, you set yourself up for a long-term and dependable income you can truly rely on. Possessing a list is literally like having traffic on demand that you can tap into at any time to generate income when you need it. It really doesn't matter what area of internet marketing you choose to venture into, building a list is absolutely crucial.

You can start first decide how much $ you need to earn every month and than go out you can start with affiliate marketing and promote other people offers for commission and earn $50-$300 per sale some times more ...

But you need to learn how to get good offer to promote and where and how to get good, quality traffic
that converts to your offer and you will make $..

And always send traffic to landing page i'm suggesting you so you are building your email list(your greatest Asset)

This is a good quick summary of the necessities ( along with of course getting traffic). It has and will continue to be a simple and effective model that will last for decades

There are some great ideas on this page. I agree with some and disagree with others. I know what it is like to struggle. I know what it is like to get conflicting information, to be so overwhelmed that you don’t know where to start, to procrastinate until you feel overwhelming guilt because it seems everyone else is succeeding and knows something that you don’t. So what do we do? We become perpetual students. Taking little productive action. Spending more money on the next best thing. It’s time to break that cycle.

There are many things that work, but like all businesses you have to set your expectations that making fast money online still might mean 6 months to a year. Stop learning for now. Start doing one thing. Develop a daily pattern of repeating these steps you chose to take every day - consistently - relentlessly commit to staying focused or just quit right now.

Because you have got to realize that your income is limited only by one thing ---> your consistency.

Its not limited by how much you know, its limited by how much you do. You can know very little and make a lot of money, if you pick one VERY SIMPLE method and become a expert in it.

For example you don't need a website. You could just tumblr or Pinterest and amazon to make a ton of money while never even thinking about things like SEO or PPC, email marketing, web design, outsourcing, or even web analytics etc...you wouldn't even need to understand these concepts.

Guard your time. Only do things that actually bring you closer to actually making money.

Well... before giving any advice at all, I would like to ask, what exactly do you want to do?
In the end, everyone here came with good advice, but in the end, it's all up to you and what you can or want to do.

Pay attention to place your business pages on squidoo, free hostings and/or similar things. Use a paid hosting is better and a safe place for your business

My take: a good start to IM is building your own blog around something you love and care about, and using content marketing to build an email list

This is a good start but once you have your own blog and have an affiliate link on the site with or without an opt in form, you still have to drive traffic to it.

For someone new, I just can't tell them that they should do free marketing. If they want to get the ball rolling and fast with subscribers and sales, I would encourage them to do paid ads.

Was going to add, it's great saying SEO and social media but all they are... are media. They're more like traffic sources but it's not really a business.

There has to be some sort of value provided to make some cashmoney.

You could sell advertising space, recommend affiliate products, sell your own products... there's a few to choose from.

Then who are you selling to? Men, women, business folk... everyone between the ages of 40 and 50...?

My personal preference (having struggled as an affiliate) is to create turn that traffic into a list, create you own products and then sell them to your list. You could start with affiliate products because it's a good way to 'test' what your market really wants (you never know until they part with their hard earned dollars) and then go from there.

    Last thing...

Don't let overwhelm get in the way. We all start out trying to jump from 0 - 10 but all you gotta do is get to 1. Then get to 2 and so on. Get your first subscriber, then get your first sale... you get the idea.

As you can see from the responses above, there is no best strategy. Different people have different preferences. Think about your current situation and determine but makes the most sense for you.

What someone may say is the best may not be applicable for you.

I like news blogging, particularly if you are from a country with a typically low income. That is because it gives you a better chance of earning a full-time income on local standards. If you are choosing the right topics, you can definitely earn an income with proper AdSense ad placement.

One topic that certainly works is US crime, with the names of people being the main keywords. Learn how to use Google News to find these stories. And it's a numbers game. The more content, the better. One article a day is not going to cut it.

  • It's important to choose objectives, but they must be to short time.
If you don't see money your motivation will be affected. So I suggest you to begin with microjob sites like Fiverr and after you can choose slower SEO way.

You can't succeed until you get started, so you CAN begin, you just haven't yet.

Most of the top marketers I know have learned what they know by trial and error. You launch a site, you use one form of SEO, you flop. Back to the drawing board - you write a REALLY good blog post, it gets shared and ranked well - you see traffic and opt ins.

You tweak as you go. No one ever has that perfect formula mapped out. You just do a bit, see if it's working - if not, try something else, see if that worked, and move forward.

If you're waiting until you know everything enough to start, you'll never start.

Hang around this forum and read how other people have become successful...then I suggest picking the niche you like best and get a mentor (doesn't have to be paid) to guide you. It is really important to get set up the right way and you might as well do it right the first time. A lot of time can be wasted in this game if you're not careful. All the best to you.

If there is one thing I've learned over the years; spending a small fortune on get rich shiny objects is a recipe for failure.

Save your money and find someone you can relate to and then invest that money on a proper internet marketing education (You need a Mentor).

My recommendation would be to go to someone like Tiffany Lambert on this thread for some great advice at no cost.

I have personally spent into the thousands on rubbish WSO's, I'm not saying there was no value in them but they were distracting and time-wasting to the highest degree.

You need to know what is and isn't possible for you when you are starting out.

"Hope For The Best Marketing" just plain doesn't work."

      I wish you well,

I will start by advising you to read as much as you can, the blogosphere world is a very competitive world and also very demanding, if you are good at writing then the best practice is to begin,

While others will tell you to start off immediately to get a blog setup asap, will advice you to strongly not join the bandwagon, speaking from experience will say this patience is key.

Points to make when deciding on how to start, choose a mentor or mentors that way you can be sure of moving towards a path

By choosing a mentor it should be one who is close to your niche of interest, try to learn his or her ideas in that field, I have mentors and I don't play with them, sometimes I argue with some of the points they mention like one of my mentors during the week argued the best form of traffic to your blog getting B2B audience will be Linkedin. Hell No! did I not agree to this I contested this,

Argue or start a revolution if you are sure of your points, another e.g was a blogger saying blogging is dead, yes I disagreed with him , may be what may have died is young people not getting actively involved in blogging, probably choosing a new path which is more inclined to social media.

So friend, we can go on and on but the key to all am trying to say is learn, start, improve and be consistent

Good luck friend, see you at the top

Take what you have learned about SEO and Social Media and build a simple site on the topic of your choice.
See if what you have learned helps you to rank the site, get free traffic, get page views.
Write your story, about your experience and the knowledge you have put into action.
    That is your first eBook.
Offer for free, sell it, put it in your website as lead magnet for subscribers.......
    Build a list.....
    Repeat....
    Never stop....
