Sources for Market Analysis?

I'm needing to do some marketing reason for a future blog I want to build.

Do any of you guys know of any tools for target market research, demographics, product demand and competition?

    Probably just a few simple Google searches. Days of the "untapped" niches are gone. Everybody's an internet expert these days. There are only a few tools i use when exploring a new niche:

    - Keyword Discovery
    - Google Keyword Planner
    - Google search for forums in the niche
    - Research on EZA to see which niches are still getting tons of clicks
    - Sites in the niche where i can advertise on
    - Top bloggers in the niche

    Alot of these things are underutilized or not used in small niches. If you can make a true business with backend products in a small niche.... you can go in and conquer right away. With great conversion rates too.
