Best way to make money online in 2015?

What's up guys!

Just wondering if you could share your thoughts on the best ways to make money online in 2015.

I'm currently dabbling with various things (blogs with AdSense, Teespring, sites providing services) and I'm wondering if there's anything else out there I should be looking into.

    • Email marketing for me because you are not dependent on Google for search engine ranking. Your lose much control and therefore focus running your business once Google makes any of their infamous algorithm changes which have been just too many. Contrary to what many people have been told and taught, there are other good ways of getting good quality traffic. Yes even relying on paid traffic can be really effective and a good investment.

  • As long as you've found a legitimate business model (seems like you have), there is no one "best" thing. The "best" thing is what you like to do. This can vary since there's more than one way to make legitimate money online. Often times, people who like to write really get into things like Kindle, ghostwriting, or PLR. Just master one thing first, so you're not bouncing from one thing to the next with nothing to show for it.

  • There isn't a "best" way to make money. Any method can make you a lot of money if you know how to implement it and you're able to adapt to the changing market. For me, it seems like affiliates, email marketing, and apps are still great ways to make money.

  • Looking into 2015 and beyond, mobile marketing will definitely continue to chew into regular internet marketing. I am also shifting my marketing focus from banners and Adsense type marketing to Affiliates and other advertising channels done within the website content as I feel that many internet users are going the AdBlock way...

    Forbes tend to be severely out of the loop on such subjects, but in this case, they cover some salient trends.

    The fact is, if we compare 2015 to 2014, there is very little difference in online trends that influence online business.

    Google, of course, is always changing, forcing us to change too, but I'd hardly call it relevant to discussion here.

    The major difference this year, and I'm wondering if it will even happen, will be the integration of Oculus Rift into established sites, bringing about a major change in opportunities for marketers.

    • Article is on the money. I read that earlier as well and 100% agree with almost everything written in the article.

      At the same time, there is no 1 thing that will make money right now. The Internet is now in an age where there is not as much "gamification"of the system. If you work hard at a business you can earn money with it.

    Online incomes are knowledge-based and skill-based.

    With apologies for stating the obvious, the best way for you to make money online inevitably depends on your own skills.

    I used to be a serial "dabbler". Only once I sat down and focused on one thing I started to see money rolling in. What have you had the best results with?

    It all depends on the person...Whichever method you choose, make sure to stick with it and give it an honest effort.

      I'm looking for this to be my main source. I have unlimited time - not so much on the money side, though .

      Agreed - I'm surprised how many big website *still* aren't taking advantage of mobile.

      I love the idea with email marketing. As you say, Google has no control over it - same goes for the likes of Facebook and Twitter.

      I really need to start working on lists. That's something I've never really tried properly.

      I hear ya, mastering one thing is wise. I have an issue focussing sometimes, which is why I have a number of things going on at once. I feel like I'm going to miss out if I don't try this other opportunity that's bouncing around in my head.

      I guess you have to focus (like a laser, to a flashlight, as the quote goes) to really create a successful business, then find a way to outsource and have others run it while you pursue other ventures.

      Apps really intrigue me, and I have a few ideas (don't we all) but they seem pretty risky financially as they aren't typically that cheap to create.

      I need to give email marketing a go, though. That's something I've never really tried.

      I have had some success with Twitter so far. I'm trying to step up my Facebook game, though. Things are more likely to go viral on Facebook, it seems.

      I've noticed other people are ditching Adsense, too. My biggest site is a sports blog. I'm unsure if affiliate marketing could match the Adsense payouts, but I guess I need to give it a go in the near future...

      I hear ya! I need to "laser in" on something. My most successful venture has been a sports blog so far. I'd love to find a team of people to run it for me so I could go onto other things, but it's not really successful enough to hire a bunch of people yet, and I'm also worried about "giving people the keys" to the site and social networks.

      I need to look into solo ads. I've seen them mentioned a few times on here...

      Thanks! Yeah, that seems to be the main thing. I need to laser focus on something. It's hard but hopefully once I start doing that the money will roll in and make it easier to leave other ventures on the back burner .

  • Could be anything, the trick is finding out what works for you at what you are good at( i.e. mobile marketing, affiliate marketing, list building, cpa, seo, ppc, etc......)

  • In my opinion its writing a good value eBook and posting it as a WSO or you can create bonus eBooks and put them on other marketer’s download pages. Just simply build a relationship with them. Either way you’re going to build a buyers list. Then you can just promote products and make money. Then if you want to do blogging, CPA or anything else at least you will have a list of people and money for advertising such as PPC or Facebook ads.
  • In my opinion, TeeSpring going to be good in 2015, but you need to spend a lot of time and money on facebook advertisements along with unique design ideas.
  • Like all big cooperation they diversify there earnings. Start with something that is quick money to get your feet wet and show you that you can earn quick money, affiliate sales or even fivver gig with a service you can perform quickly.

    then add on other ventures, also remember you can outsource some task to make more money if you know how to do it.

    But having various income streams, both passive and service driven is key, just in-case anyone drys up

      Yeah, you have to find the winning designs, which can cost quite a bit in advertising credit.

  • Making money online remains the same in this year (and will remain the same for years to come). You can do affiliate marketing, drop shipping, local business consulting, web design, etc. There are many things that have been in demand for years and it will remain that way.

    What we should pay attention to is marketing itself. Posting articles on EzineArticle and Squidoo was VERY popular and profitable in 2008, now it's pretty much useless. SO we need to adapt.

    Email marketing still works wonders as far as marketing goes.
    SEO is important although not the same ad before.
    Marketing through media is very hot (videos, podcats, etc).
    Social media is exploding as well and many people will make loads of money with it.
    PPC is still there although I see people make more money with FB than Adwords.

    The core of online business remains the same and there is no "best" way, you gotta chose what suits you and stick with it

  • Find your passion and dabble with that... if you get the grasp of something and focus on it... you can make anything work!
    But remember to research, stay on one things at a time, then maybe when you are on a good constant you can branch out... this industry is all about passion and doing something you have a genuine interest in..
  • Remember the good old 80/ 20 rule, as in 20% of your consumers generate 80% of your money. OK so, right now best performing firms are are acquiring prime consumers at a much faster pace... than other companies. Also, they are also getting those prime consumers to spend more. What about your prime consumers. It is time to grow your company.
  • I see you mentioned Adsense... I don't know what to say about that, if you manage to find a profitable niche then Adsense could work. However, I found it very difficult to make the same money with Adsense as I used to years ago. Maybe go for other ad networks or make sure you find a "strong" niche.

    I definitely think that the best way to make money online is to create your own digital products.

    I mean quality products. Actionable content that will solve issues. Happy customers. They become fans, and buy any new release.

    You could sell $ 5 surfs on Fiverr... but you are not going to generate huge revenues.
    You could sell affiliates products... But you do not control the product quality.
    You could put some ads into your site... But you need to have tons of trafic to generate a decent income

    What is the best way to make money online?
    • Identify a niche
    • Create a blog. Write 2 or 3 awesome posts.
    • Promote your posts
    • Start guest blogging (I add a link to show you a list of 386 blogs that accept guest blogging)
    • Keep going. Write or record. Get fans.
    • Create a product that helps. Use a Wacom tablet and Screenflow. Nothing difficult.
    • Propose it to your readers. They will love it

      The standard reply and what many others are saying is to develop your OWN traffic at the push of a button and that is thru Email marketing.

      IMO, everything should be centered around that whether you pursue Youtube Marketing or Facebook Marketing or Blogging or Craigslist etc..etc..

      Each of them require different level of skills, experience and knowledge. The one, that I'm currently digging in, is Drop Shipping.

  • There is no "best way" to make money online. What works for one person might not work for you. It all depends on your knowledge and what you know how to do. If you're smart you'll play to your strengths.

    • If you are familiar with a guy named Jay Abraham, he has lots of very cool videos on Ytube.

      What he does is evaluate existing businesses and finds literally millions in untapped resources within that company.

      Sometimes he shows them some minor and major tweaks that skyrocket revenue.

      Once he suggested they double the commissions to the sales force and the overall revenue shot up because he educated the owners on the lifetime value of each customer and it proved they could indeed pay out more to the reps. Not to mention the morale shot up big time.

      I think that is what we have to do in our businesses as well...what ever we are into we need to evaluate it and make sure its optimized to succeed while we work smarter not harder in 2015.

    I've dabbled in all that stuff you mentioned too...probably like most of you guys on this thread. I also have a successful client SEO company, which I still love doing and depend on for some of my income.

    But honestly, the most profitable strategy I've come across is good ol' fashioned pay-per-lead.

    I've applied the model to a whole bunch of different industries and it works every time, no joke. The best thing I've found about it is that once you hit your sweet spot, you'll truly have a passive income...none of the constant upkeep and headaches that come with clients and a lot of other things I've tried.

    You can start with building your list and I recommend places like Getresponse or Aweber - This is a must no matter how you want to make money online.

    You can build your subscribers through Solo ads, Swaps and WSO's (You can make research on these later)

    Affiliate marketing seem to be the best, hop on to JVzoo and find quality products to promote. The more relationship you build with others and more successful you'll be. Just keep building your list no matter what and in few months...you'll see good results beyond your imagination as far as you're doing it the right way.

    So start with > Jvzoo (get an account) > Find products > Promote the product and get a commission.

    Blogging is good but don't expect good result possibly in the first three - five months (depending on your niche tho). You can make hundreds of dollars monthly from adsense, Email marketing, Affiliate marketing, Sponsored post.. etc but it requires consistency and time.

    Time in what essence? Traffic generation, writing of blog posts, building your list and creating relationship.. etc

  • The best way to make money online is to find a hungry market and find a way to serve them that you can do better than anyone else, that they will be eager to get their hands on. That's were the BIG money is.
  • One of the first things you should do is engage a mentor --- someone to tell you what to do, and show you how to do it. There are mentors in all niches. They charge fees, but whatever you pay will be peanuts compared to what you could make by following their advice. A mentor will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and help you decide which course of action is best for you.

  • Own products if you have unique knowledge to share are a great way of generating income. They become a nice passive income if the products are time-less enough.

    Selling advertising space is another option, but for this to pay well you'll need to have impressive genuine traffic, something of the region 500,000 and above.

    Otherwise, I agree with the many comments here that there is no "best way". As exciting Internet business is, it is not easy to figure out what works for oneself.

    I still do amazon affiliate reviews sites for physical products. It works well for me as iam focused.

  • Personally I think list building and solo ads are probably the best for various reasons.

    The first being that creating a list is an asset that YOU control, not some outside force like Google or FaceBook. What if you're dependant on Google and then one day they change up their SEO algorithm and now you're not getting any leads to your site? Or what if FaceBook just suddenly decides to be a lot more pickier about who they let in into their ad network and now you're blacklisted? What would you do then? If you have your own list you're only limited by your ability to create new products and sell them to your list.

    Secondly, solo ads (or really any kind of paid ads) are really great in my opinion since you generally get what you paid for. Of course you're responsible for conversions on your ads but when you finally have split tested out a few ads and figured out one that converts well you can always just keep on running it to get more leads.

    The best part about paid ads is that they are very scalable assuming you have the money to scale up from your back end sales.

Other popular ways that you will have to take a close look includes sponsored posts and reviews, video blogging, affiliate marketing, content writing, web designing, working as an online tutor etc. These were as popular in the year 2015 as was in the year 2014.

  • There isn't really any best way to make money online. Whatever you try you MUST BELIEVE and stay consistent. Why not look into affiliate marketing?
  • There are numerous ways to make money on the internet, just like there are many ways you can skin a cat.

    What's best for you is going to depend on your skills, aptitude and your budget, among other things.

    I wouldn't recommend jumping in on the latest trend simply because many others are making money with it -- evaluate what you have and what you are good at, and then make your decision.

    Once you've made that decision, resolve to stick to this type of marketing and really commit to seeing it through -- you need to put your blinders on and totally ignore everything else unrelated.

  • There is lots of comepetion in product launhes these days, so i switched my business from product launches to providing services that requires to launch products, Like, graphics, membership sites, technical and customer support etc.

  • What is best for someone may not be something that works for you, find something that you feel that you can work well with and stick to it till you get results. That will be your answer to the "best" method.

    For me, my best would be email marketing as i do not like to rely on SEO for traffic in case google decides to strike me off their search lists. Look around on the forums and you'll find many different ways that you can earn some income online. Just remember to stick to your choice and you'll definitely find your reward.

  • I don't know if there is a best way but there are plenty of good ways. It is more important that you understand how to do the method you chose as best as you can.
    As people have mentioned mobile traffic should be at the for front of whatever you do as more people are browsing from mobile devices now and it's still growing fast.

  • I've been online for over a decade and there is nothing more appealing that Affiliate Marketing. You don't need to create a product, you have no customer service, you just mainly look for ways to drive traffic. It can get more and more intricate or you can just keep it simple. I've started with the more in depth way because I want to build a list. I'm just using a simple opt in page to capture email. I like a video on that page too whenever possible. In any case, affiliate marketing a good place to learn about Internet Marketing.
