You should enter each of those questions into Google and read as much as you can.

Then put some of what you learn into practice and come back and ask questions about what you don't understand.

This will be excellent learning for your blog business because running a blog, especially something you want to grow, means doing a lot of learning and research to find topics for content and monetization on your blog.

You will get far more information by Googling these introductory questions than the myriad of comments and opinions you could get at WF.

Maybe if you shared your "reason" people would be more responsive to your generic questions....

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Well, you just listed a bunch of "how long is a piece of string" type questions, which are usually better for Google.

I wasn't trying to be unhelpful. A lot of people don't realize the power of Google for this kind of information.

I don't blog full-time. I blog part-time about web design, SEO and freelance topics.
I got started after reading webmaster-related forums like this one. Monetizing is done through Adsense.

I don't discuss the niches I am in with the exception of my blogging/internet marketing blog. I went through quite a few other blogs before I felt qualified to write in this area, though.

I found a YouTube video that showed me that it was possible to make money blogging online. The idea of making money online interested me, so I bought web hosting and a domain that weekend and started writing.

No. I learned nothing of use in the only English course I took in college. In fact, my first paper was called, "Why Everything You've Learned In English Class Is Wrong", because the class only taught you how to impress a college professor instead of communicate ideas through writing.

The main purpose of all of my blogs is to get people onto my email list so I can promote products to them, either my own or as an affiliate.

      @James McAllister,

Does this mean you are earning a full income from your blogging? How many blogs do you have? if you don't mind me asking. Thanks.

I have 3. I do not make a full time income from the blogs themselves, but from my email lists (many of the subscribers came from the blogs, however.) I also offer services on each of my sites. On two of my blogs these are all outsourced, on one of them the services are all done by me.

I do attribute a lot of my income to blogging though, because the blog gets people into my sales funnel and also boosts relationships/trust and gives more value to people who arrived on my list through other means (such as through a squeeze page.)

I'm not a fulltime blogger but I do try to get out a blog post once a week. I guess you could say I have an internet marketing blog but I also blog about subjects related to network marketing,recruiting,mindset,sales,etc...

The primary way I make money blogging is building a list of people that know, like and trust me then selling them stuff they'll need to build a successful online business.

I never took a writing course in my life. From my experience the best way to learn how to write is by writing everyday. Another thing you MUST do is read a lot, always be expanding your vocabulary.

Been blogging on and off for almost 8 years now. My blogs are my main source of income, I haven't had a "job" since 2007.

My blogs are about my hobbies (motorcycles, bikes, etc). And of course, as most of us here I have an IM blog which also brings a fair chunk of income

Well, you played the rapid fire game, continually asked one after another. I want to clarify regarding your query is, if you are thinking about to start a blog commenting, writing or posting, then I would like to suggest you, first think about the niche of the product and use small sentences to create a blog. It's my personal experience.

    • I do, well not full time, but a lot of my time, I do other things too!

    • Everything from Instagram tutorials to reasons why fainting goats are awesome!

    • Got started on bubblews ( a pay to write site that pays you 0.1$ for every view you get) , then I became a freelance writer and it escalated from there.

    • No didn't take any courses.. The internet is the best place to learn.
