The real truth is: A LOT of Solo Ads are Scammers, so read reviews (Reviews can be faked too, do your homework before you throw your money in it)
Personally never bought Solo Ads.. I am just too skeptical about it.
They build their Email lists using free traffic, exchanging optins, buying junk traffic.. and so on.
Some guys are pricing +$1 / CLICK lol that's crazy, and yes, they are making a killing.

You can get that size of list through having a number of traffic avenues coming in to your squeeze page. Solo ad vendors normally do ad swaps and click banking along with buying solo ads from other vendors and using other traffic avenues like ppc and. seo. When your doing ad swaps and click bank you can grow your list 3 times as fast than if you were just getting traffic from a particular traffic source.

Well either they have built their list over the years and have a huge list, and earn enough to keep buying traffic and keep growing their list. Or they use list brokers and some shady methods to send clicks.

And then you have those that send fake clicks, but they don't last long. If you plan to buy make sure to not only check for reviews, but also the record of the marketer.

I have a big question that goes through my head.

If you`re only getting 20% optin rate, your offer is not of value and you`re targeting the wrong segment.
