Outlook for Email or?

Hi

I am using rackspace managed email configured on Outlook and here are my LOT of problems.

1. My PST file ( outlook file where data is stored) went more than 20 GB 2 months before and outlook started giving a LOT of problems in opening.
2. I somehow found a solution where i can allot more size to pst and it worked a little.
3. Now i was having a very very slow computer

then i changed my computer and still the same problem when i have downloaded all mails.

What do you guys use for mailing or if you know why i am facing this problem? It is really hurting my business as a whole.

Regards
AB

I'm always surprised when people tell me they're still using an e-mail client like Outlook or Mac Mail. As you're learning, software can create a lot of problems. Also, you're tied to just one PC or device where the client is installed

I've been using Google Apps for business for 5 years now and I love it. (I was also using other web-based e-mail like Hotmail and Yahoo, but they're not very good for business.)

Google Apps for business allows you to use your own domain e-mail through GMail, so you're entirely web-based and have all of the functionality of Google's suite of apps, including their calendar, Google docs (which virtually replaces MS Office), video conferencing, etc.

I have several domains and e-mail aliases. Each domain has it's own Google Apps account with different aliases. To simplify things, all e-mail from each account is forwarded to one main e-mail account which is the one I work out of exclusively. When I receive an e-mail, the e-mail address I reply from is the one they sent it to. Or I can choose to send it from a different e-mail address.

For example, I'm logged into my main e-mail account Michelle@MinnieMouse.com. I receive an e-mail at Michelle@MickeyMouse.com which comes automatically to Michelle@MinnieMouse.com. When I reply, it will automatically come from Michelle@MickeyMouse.com.

Or I can choose to send it from any other e-mail address I have which is already set up in Google Apps. I could choose to send it from Michelle@DonaldDuck.com, for example.

I also love Google Calendar. When you put something in your Google calendar, you'll receive reminders both via e-mail and text if you have it set up that way.

Not to mention Google docs which can nearly replace MS Office and is shareable.

You can see it here: https://www.google.com/work/apps/business/

You can easily share calendars, docs, etc and it all integrates seamlessly. Best of all, there's nothing to download on any device. It's all web-based, which means you can access it from ALL of your devices -- or even someone else's device.

To me, being able to access it any time, anywhere on any device is important. I don't want to be tied to my PC at my desk.

    Hi Michelle

Your reply is very informative. I actually considered google mail for this but i have to make a lot of email id's on my domain. At a time, i do have around 20 people selling for me. For last 2 years.. more than 200 people added and we just cannot delete their email addresses because they have left.

So when using rackspace, consideration was per email/ cost. Rackspace charges $1 per month and Google charges $5. I pay like $250 per month to rackspace and it will be more than $1k to google.

But.. probably i am losing more business than i am saving.
