Video in opt in page?

Hi;

In your experience which optin pages work better?

With video or without video?

Thanks

    Depends on your niche and your intentions.

    At the end of the day, instead of asking, I'd say just go out there and test it.

    Keep in mind that conversions on the squeeze page doesn't mean anything.

    It's the conversions on the sales or conversions that you should worry about.

      I think either way can work just as well. It's not do or die to have a video opt-in page, in fact I'd guess that for an opt-in page is much less important then on a sales page.

      Some of the best performing opt-in pages are the ones that just have a headline, background image and a submit button.

      Unfortunately the only real way to know is to test it.

    Squeeze Page ---> Video

    Less content on the optin page the better. You want to collect there info you can sell them more after you collect there info

      I don't sit still for videos on optins or even the page after that. Most videos are poorly done and very dull. I don't know if it is true or not, but so many times it seems that the main purpose is to add more time on page.

      Nothing wrong with that, but if you do put a video on your page, please make sure it is interesting to the viewer. there is a reason why TV shoes are so fast paced. They keep people's attention and communicate at the same time.

      Videos are easy to produce now, but that doesn't mean people know how to make them so that they keep the viewr's attentin and deliver somethg of value.

    As @gluckspilz and @pintara3 say above, the best thing to do is to test and see what works.

    One thing I've seen on a few websites lately is a video squeeze page with one of those "don't go, click cancel" exit pop-ups (I'm sure there's a technical term for them, but I don't know what it is) that redirects the visitor to a text squeeze page if they click away before the video ends.

    Hi, as a video marketing lover i say: video 1000%!
    Is more engaging as people love to watch videos.
    Open with a sincere smile (be nice) (if you want to be in front of the camera) and catch people's focus by saying something that is really related to what they want to know
    Go straight to the point and explain the benefits on why they should opt in. (be empathetic)
    close with a call to action (try to transmit your energy)
    hope that helps!

    I think unlike many questions on this forum which ask for opinion and experience this one can be answered very scientifically.

    Test Test Test

    Almost all answers above say test it. It makes sense but really not practical (the way I know it). Testing is expensive. It costs about $1.50 per click.
    I need about 1000 each time to see how each change affects conversion.

    Considering how many elements there are, I could spend 100 k and still be testing.

    Am I missing something here or this is just how it is? Have to spend tons to find the right one?
