Are there ANY good blog marketing instruction books?

I want to start using wordpress more actively. I know how to set it up and ftp change themes, install plugins and stuff but nothing more.

I need something that will teach in depth how to use it. how to set it up for seo, how to make it so people can bookmark it, what themes to use etc etc.

are there any good courses on this?

    I don't know of any ebooks off hand. But if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I have a handful of sites that started at WP 2.1-2.6.

      hey ahkamden,

      do you know of any wordpress themes that are clean, organized and ready to go for seo? I know very little and i would just like to create pages and make posts.

      I have a question. I have a diet blog and i would like to make pages that review different diet pills and programs.

      then the posts will be different keywords like "how to lose weight"

      that is ok right?

      i just want to be able to write that and it be ready to go without too much modifying.

      any tips?

        Check out WordPress Themes — Pearsonified (not aff). The first one is for sale, the rest are free. I was looking for an easy to customize theme I could use for several sites, and these look pretty good. I've taken a peek under the hood, and the seo looks like it's ready to go.

          Let your needs help you decide what type of theme you want to use. Will your blog have a lot of graphics? If so, consider a magazine style theme.

          Are you primarily looking for Adsense and affiliate earnings? Consider an Adsense ready theme with a plugin such as AutoHyperlink, and another from Amazon.

          Do a Google search for a bookmarking plugin and you will find a variety of choices.

          Scroll through the pages of this forums WSO's and you may find just what you are looking for regarding WP instruction. Just don't buy anything without a little caution. Look for reliable Warriors with a history of offering solid products at a fair price. There are a great many good people here who are very knowledgeable on WordPress. You may also want to check the Product Review section of this forum for possible suggestions.
