I need to talk to more marketers

I've been doing online marketing since September and have recently decided that I want to talk to other marketers. Doesn't matter if you've been doing marketing for 20 years or 20 days.

Anyways, this may be stupid, but aw well.

I'm Paul and I'm from Scotland. I started online marketing last September as a 17 year old. I'm also a magician and photographer which has helped me earn some money so that I could invest it into my online business.

I've lately realised that I don't have any "Friends" that do online marketing and it would be pretty good to talk about online marketing related things with other people in this business, y'know?

I don't really know what I want to achieve from posting this, but I suppose you could introduce yourself? Heck, maybe even start talking to some other new people you never knew existed!

Can't wait to start talking to some of you guys

If you are looking to hookup with local marketers go here:

Local Meetups, Mastermind Groups and Warrior Events

The main forum is not really a place where you and your mates can shoot the breeze...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Welcome to the Warrior Forum Paul.

There are a lot of mastermind groups that get together, both in person and online (like via Skype), and meet to discuss ideas, partnerships, problems they are having in their marketing, joint venture deals, and many other topics.

In addition there are paid events that you can attend (although many are quite pricey) and network with other marketers.

The opportunities for interaction are there but you'll have to look for them and find ways to meet that fit your budget and lifestyle.

        Good luck to you,

        Steve

Hello, I know what you mean about wanting other marketers to talk to. I was in a similar position because I started at 17 too, didn't go to college or anything just stayed at home and taught myself. All of my friends were playing xbox or similar teen things so I couldn't share my interests with them because they didn't care or understand. Felt like it was holding me back not having a friendly person to bounce the occasional idea through or whatever..

if you wanna give your skype (is that allowed on WF?) i could chat to you about IM

  • I have never attended a warrior event or any Internet marketing party, but it will say that it is one of the best things you could do for yourself, and I basically am saying this out of recommendations from other warriors who have told me about their experiences at these events.

They can help you network, meet people in real time, and really get yourself out there. Being able to pick the brain of an IM Warrior first hand definitely should be exciting for someone you.

Well given that you have been doing online marketing for the last 5 months, identify just one business model that really interests you. For example if you think email marketing interests you then focus on it, maybe even join a coaching program. You would have much interaction with members in the coaching program as well as approved to join a closed door Facegroup where these members share the nitty gritty details of list building strategies and helping each other. "Talking" there would be usually done at weekly webinars and facebook messaging and skype. I can testify to the amount of sharing such groups have benefited me while at the same time fulfilling my learning about advanced email marketing strategies. This is just an example and there are many other ways you can find such "talking" and interaction too.

Welcome! Steve B had a great idea to check out Skype sessions. You might also want to join some Facebook groups. There is a wealth of people and information in those groups. Take Care and Take Action.
