I am about to buy a domain name, I have a 3 word ''key word''

For example should I buy?

Any help is most appreciated

Here's the quick down-low on hyphens.

Some people think that using hyphens in your URL looks spammy, but in the example you use: Youtubereviews.com, I think it looks better and is more readable with the hyphens in it. That is personal opinion.

The other consideration is that, although search engines can usually parse the words in a URL that has no hyphens, it is easier for them to do so in URLs that have hyphens. Therefore, if you are concerned about SEO, you should use the hyphens.

      Think in an auditory way...

When you hear a radio or TV commercial, have you ever heard a hyphen in a domain name?

Nope, and I haven't heard them say youtubereviews as one word, either.

It's easier for me to read the domain when it has hyphens, and I don't believe that it matters one whit for SEO. Lots of hyphenated domains rank well, and get plenty of traffic.

Thanks for all your wonderful help, I have decided to go with a domain that contains no hyphen's although I might buy the hyphened one in the future.

          Thank you all

so URL's with hyphens in rank better because Google can identify the words with more precision?

Which one would be best for ranking in Google?
Whichever has better content & backlinking.
    Buy each to mitigate competition.
Build each with differences to reach across your target demographic.
Track each for your own edification.

SEO wise it might make sense to have hyphens but I think people hate it, as they say it makes URLs look spammy. One of the site which I'm not actively working on anymore has one hyphen and it used to rank no.1 on both yahoo and msn, but for some reason I wasn't getting the sort of traffic that I should have been for the term. It was just a single experience but I thought I'd share.
