First two suggestions: accept orders on Fiverr and cut down delivery time (one week, currently).

I hate advising people to work cheap/free but I believe it could be your best strategy long term.

    1. Sign up as a freelancer on Elance, oDesk, etc
    2. Underbid job postings
    3. Over-deliver results
    4. Build a great feedback portfolio
    5. Increase rates as you increase jobs (staying fair to what you deliver and the market)
    6. Build a client base of past customers (get customers to come back to you)
    7. Build your own design business/website with that base and the portfolio/feedback you have
    8. Advertise said business

Since your already using Fiverr, get your clients email addresses so that you can stay in contact with them when needed. You'll simple do this by sending them to your optin form with a nice incentive (graphics pack, logos, design evaluation).

Once their on your list, you can send them graphic design promos, web design discounts, and so forth while always keeping your main blog/website in your signature. Think long term and dont settle for the quick $5 sale.

Also remember......if your spending more than 10 minutes on your fiverr gigs, your spending too much time. Always choose gigs which use up as less time as possible. Upon delivery, try to upsell them on your extra gigs.

I would run ads right here for graphic design. Make sure that you add samples to you ads. You can advertise as a WSO or in the classified section.

Give the first 10 people a big discount just to get some great reviews. There are several very successful ads on the Forum. Check it out to get some ideas.

      Good luck,

The first thing I'd do is put up an ad in the Warrior's For Hire section for your design work and take the fiverr gig out of your sig. Why accept small payments when you can earn much more doing the same stuff right here?

Create your own website selling your own services at your own price. Although you do have to have a little start up investment - $60 for that whole year.

Alternatively, you can create 20 Fiverr gigs. I have a feeling you only have 3-5 gigs set up which limits your earning potential. Use all 20 and maximise sales this way.

Use Pinterest and Instagram to show off your work and send back to your own site...you'll make more money that way and in the end is a lot more professional. You can also compile a bunch of images of your work into a video and post on youtube, etc. Video gets a lot of attention and gives you more exposure. You can still use fiverr to build clientele as well.

I want to make 3000$ monthly.
    3000$ ??

Nothing personal, OP, but if I'm researching possible VAs and they can't even get the dollar sign on the right end of the price, I instantly discount them.

    Food for thought.

I think you need to continue working on fiverr and get on the other freelance website and just do work, build connections, build and portfolio and grow. As you do more work the quality of that work will grow and the word will spread about your abilities.

Once you have a good base of clients you can then take them on yourself with your own website. Maybe save a small part of your profits each month and put that towards setting up a website in the future. Ultimately that is where you will start to make the big money but starting up a site like that with no clients will be a difficult process. But if you can bring the clients with you when you set up the website then it will be much smoother.

Regardless though, you are not going to be making $3000 a month starting next month. It will take a lot of work and a lot of time to get there but if you put in the work and think about what your goals are then it will come.

    Good luck.

Here's a plan that I gave to my client who sells the same service.

    1. Create a website selling your services for only $17 (you'll need a copywriter for this) this is just to get your foot on their door.

    2. Now you can't build a $3000 business without the back end. So as a back end, offer two months of service for free as long as they lock in to a 1 year contract for $197/month or higher. And that means they get to hire you as a full time designer. Outside the IM world, people are not cheapskates.

    3. If you're not willing to do ads, you can do the next best thing. Contact website developers/designers to refer their clients to you in exachange for a 10% commission for every client that will retain you.

At $197/month all you need to do is get 15 clients.

It worked for my client and it may work for you. =)

Create your own portfolio. Set up a website, use a catchy name (for branding) and show off your best work! Signing up on Elance, Odesk and others is also a good idea, you can get your name out there and promote your work.

Your stuff looks nice, I think you need to add more gigs and offers, not just real estate etc
maybe get to point where you have upsells

then offer this stuff on here and other forums at slighty higher price but still a good deal

Make yourself a website, hook up facebook , linked in , instagram and pinterest

On Linkedin...be very discreet.....I have recently been removing any NON usa person who emails me with stilted language LOL..."dear madam".....yuck

Use skype, instant messaging, and or get back to people very quickly. You could make some good money for where you live by somewhat undercutting but getting a lot more than fiverr.

I am sorry you only make $300 a month as an engineer....wow
Good luck and wish you much success

When selling services it is better to combine a package to distinguish yourself and raise your value .

Instead of just offering graphics, maybe you can offer some type of distribution of the images on sites like stumbleupon, redditt, etc. This way you can raise your prices and separate yourself from the pack.

Also when selling your services particularly on forums be sure to give out review copies and some for free for high ranking members at the beginning to build your rep.

And if you plan trying to pull $3,000 you must figure out a way to semi-automate the process otherwise your risk getting burn out fairly quickly. Not unless you just generally make graphics fairly fast.

Upsell your clients.. and you can easily make more..

I'm not sure, however if you get the contact details of buyers on fiverr,
Then you can use email marketing to upsell clients into other purchases.

  • You have 2 options..

    1) Scale your Fiverr income
Get more people to buy your fiverr service

    2) Expand your sources of income
Create new Fiverr offers, or other income online

    Hope this helps add clarity

I would recommend going the teespring route. It amazes me how many people are still making good money on tshirts using facebook.

If you have the time, there are a lot of free resources that cover the ins and outs of this biz.

But don't waste the ad spend until you have a solid working knowledge of how the people that are successful in this are running their campaigns.

Very low investment, and a good fit for a graphic designer.
