Hi

I run a SEO service with tons of active subscriptions on Paypal, its been running for 8 months and I have found a buyer for the service, I know that you cannot transfer Paypal subscriptions to another account, but I would like to know if I can change the name of the business, location and bank account linked to the account.

I want tccount, so that he can make changes to the account himself and continue to earn from the recurring subscriptions, asking my customers to cancel and re - create subscriptions is a hassle and will definitely result in a revenue loss.

Do let me know if this is possible.

Regards

I know that most of the subscriber won't move if you ask them to opt-in again, but you should take in mind that in this case maybe they don't see real value in the subscription. Maybe they just forgot or are too lazy to cancel the subscription.

Also, I think that you should agree that your customers should take notice about the change in ownership. They can't be assured that they will receive the same service quality they got when you was in charge.

Knowing these facts, you can see why paypal and other payment processors does not see with good eyes moving the subscriptions to another account.

I heard rumors about successful changes of ownership of the account but you should first ask paypal about this. If you change the ownership and bank accounts, the customers will see other name and address on the receipt or on their credit card statement which could cause a high chargeback rate and refunds.

I think the best option is to discuss with the buyer some options:

    1. You keep the subscribers, he agree to provide them the service until their subscription ends, and you deduct this amount from the big payment he will give to you.

    2. You agree to give him the money as soon as they get into your account.

I know that subscriptions is a very good way to charge more from your subscribers without scaring them with a high price, but this also have some downsides.

      Hi

Well I'm pretty sure I'm adding value, and I will be informing my customers of the new ownership and will be there for a month or two with the new buyer to help with the transition.

The problem is I have a Paypal India account, which does not allow me to keep funds in my account, so I'll have to withdraw the funds and transfer it again, so I might have to pay Paypal fees twice and also bear the forex losses during the conversion if I pay after getting money in my account.

So I'll just have to contact paypal for this.

      Thank you

Why in the world would you ask a forum of strangers instead of picking up the phone and calling PayPal to discuss it with them?
