Make Money Online - Business Opportunities niche - SATURATION?

Hey friends,

today I have a big doubt about the niches that I mentioned in the title of the thread.

There is danger of saturation?

A business like Mobe / MTTB that are years that is online, in this year (fifth year) go to have three times the revenue of the previous year.

How is this possible?

There is no danger of saturation?

Many people claim that their mailing list (subscribers) do not survive many months, and that therefore there is always continuous turnover of subscribers.

It is true that the risk of saturation is not a problem, and there is always enough spare people?

Thank you so much!

There is no such thing as an "over saturated niche" anymore. In the brick and mortar world that can absolutely happen. In the online world it really can't.

Don't worry about saturation. Instead worry if you can find your target market and convince them to go to your site and sign up to your list.

In the online world traffic is everywhere and you can get it. The question isn't traffic, the question is offers. Do you have good enough relevant offers that will convert good enough to make your traffic generation efforts pay off.

I also believe this at this point.

Everything depends about the quality of the product.

However, any business will also need to do repeat business with existing leads.

      Right?

I'm really curious why you would think this. On the one hand, I agree that because of the global nature of the internet, just about everyone in the world -- regardless of where they are physically -- is a potential customer. But on the other hand, for the very same reasons, just about everyone in the world -- regardless of where they are physically located -- is a potential competitor.

Moreover, because of phenomena like the "Superstar Effect", it's usually the case online where the top players make huge amounts of money where the rest make relatively little -- even if the differences between the top and the rest aren't that great. (For an interesting, plain-language discussion on the Superstar Effect in sports, entertainment and banking check out http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/26/bu...pagewanted=all. For a more academic discussion of the topic see JSTOR: An Error Occurred Setting Your User Cookie).

My point is that there are very sound reasons -- grounded in economic theory -- why a niche may be saturated, even in the age of the internet. What's more, to reach saturation, a niche doesn't need to have tens of thousands or even dozens of players: just a few, well-positioned, dominant players may be enough to suck most (though certainly not all) of the air out of any niche. This isn't to say you can't succeed in a "saturated" niche -- but there had better be a compelling reason why you're going to succeed where so many others will fail, and a big part of that reason will be how you position yourself within that niche.

And speaking of positioning and speaking of niches, you really can't have one without the other -- which is why MMO isn't really a niche, but comprises dozens and dozens of them... But that's a whole other story...

Over saturation is a myth. What people mean by "over saturation" is just a larger pool of competition.

When you have a larger pool of competition you

create a better product, offer better services, or outperform.

When a market has larger competition it is because it is profitable. This is what makes no sense about this idea of "over saturation". People wouldn't be in the market if it wasn't making money.

Agree 1000 percent. The business opportunity niche will never be over saturated. There will always be people looking for a new business opportunity to get involved with.

The Make Money / Business Opportunity niche isn't saturated. Yes there are many people who are 'actively' promoting themselves in this niche (including me) right now.

However, as each business opportunity becomes more 'established', then yes saturation does play a role as more members market for the same online spaces.

Competition increases and just as quinng123 said above, you will have to offer better services or out perform others in the same space.

There is one company [Empower Network] that has been online since Halloween 2011 who is still dominating in their respected niche and more and more people keep getting started every single day (even right now as we speak). And no I am not an EN affiliate.

The marketers of Empower who are 'still' making consistent sales, keep finding more 'creative' ways to market in the same online space as everyone else.

So is an opportunity like Empower Network or MOBE saturated?

    Well here's the thing...

If those opportunities are doubling, tripling and even quadrupling in their numbers, it means that the business model is 'converting' well to their target market.

So in a nutshell, where there is smoke, their is fire.

Does this mean that the great majority of people will be able to make a decent income in such a 'busy' area?

    No.

    Most people won't.

But it's not because of the saturation issue, it's more because of a 'mindset' issue.

Most people will quit any opportunity long before they start seeing any results at all. But that is a 'choice' that they are deciding to make.

Many people who once marketed in the biz opp niche are now marketing in the affiliate marketing niches because many feel that it's easier there.

Internet Marketing is not for everyone.

It's rewards only go to people who are willing to do what ever it takes to succeed (just as long as they are not hurting anyone or taking from anyone).

So your success isn't determined by 'saturation'. There have been many people who already have quit MOBE and Empower Network.

But there will be someone who comes along to one of these companies this year and somehow makes a 'transformation' that changes the course of their lives for ever with those opportunities.

In truth, the real opportunity doesn't lie in any business model or company, it lies in your own hands and what your prepared to do for yourself.

    Hi SM,

Money responds to the value you create, and to the quality of your connections.

So whatever opp you work, if you work it from a high energy space, you're golden

As Rory summarized it in a nutshell, the problem isn't saturation, it's more over user expectation.

Too many people love the vibe, but hate the work that goes on when the highlights fade... and either get overwhelmed and quit, or they change their expectations, and face the reality that earning passive income online can be achieved, but it takes time, work, and often years to establish.

Especially, the kind of money people expect when buying a $27 scraper blog system, or article spinner, or some lame excuse for a tool that newbies 'think' is a solution to their financial woes and will beat the Almighty Googler...

Sadly, most will not make money in the MMO or specifically the make money niche...or perhaps even in any niche online for that matter.

Simply because most people don't see (or don't want to see perhaps) the real business, work, and consistent effort that people who actually are succeeding put into their success.

They just want the rewards without responsibilities, and they are basically sheep...searching for a shepherd, never to know; the shepherd is working hard to not be demoted back to being a sheep!

See when I think about MMO... it doesn't reflect as some system or plugin, or even one aspect of IMing... it is the whole enchilada (so to speak) learning copywriting skills, brokering deals, creating leads, cultivating relationships, building powerful lead captures, ad copy, powerful graphic imagery, writing unique-highly informing articles, and ultimately, providing for others in the direct exchange, or reciprocating factors of doing real business online.

It really depends on how bad you want it

It's a very difficult niche to find success in as there are A ton of players and a bunch of big players. With keeping that in mind, it's a very lucrative niche and once you crack into it, you can really make a fair bit of money.

Interesting discussion. I think that one major difference from the real world and the digital world is that what people buy don't need space.
Once you have an oven you don't need a second. You can have as many e-book as you want and as many courses as you desire, so it is hard to have an over saturated market.

    But never say never

As long as people want and need to make money. This niche will not become saturated.

There's 1000s of people joining on a daily basis knowing nothing about marketing online.

    Cheers,

I don't think saturation of a niche is a thing anymore. There are plenty opportunities for everyone, as long as you have something useful and interesting to offer!
