Best place to hire very simple image editing/photoshop freelancer?

So I have about 7500 images that simply need logos and promotional text rubbed out. Very easy work, but lots and lots of it to do. I don't have much experience with the freelance sites out there, so which would you say is the best place to hire someone from for work like this?

Thanks!

Elance, Freelancer are some expensive onces.. If you don't want to spend a lot of money you can request an order on Fiverr and contact some people who interested in your job. Pick the gig seller you want to work with and do business. Good luck!

7500 images is a lot! So, it's going to be quite expensive already ... even at like $1 and image.

But, like SkyWalk, I'd recommend something like freelancer, odesk, maybe even craigslist.

$1 an image is actually incredibly pricey. On my own I can do 70-80 of these an hour, that would be nearly $70 per hour!. It's literally case of "open image in photoshop, select white, rub over logo in top left, save."

If it is this easy, you could hire a VA to do them and make a video showing how to complete the task.

There are plenty of outsourcers that will work for $2 an hour.

Start out small to make sure they can do it by giving them enough work for an hour.

Also, have them send you the first couple to make sure everything is ok.

When you pick someone to complete all the work, have them send you their completed work everyday.

These are some simple tips that I learned the hard way.

Can you automate it in Photoshop? I know you can automate the watermarking process but depending on where the promo text is you might be able to do that as well. Or cover it up with your new watermark.

I would have a look at Fiverr.com you can find some pretty good VA's over there who work 2-3 for 5 bucks.

I think VA's on Elance might be your best bet - put up a job and let people bid on it. You'll probably get people applying with prices lower than you expected to pay! Let them bid on it and then choose the best one. A good thing with the per-hour option Elance is that it takes screenshots while they're working so you can check that they're actually doing the work.

    I always go with ELANCE

but hey, you gotta kiss a few frogs along the way, but when when you find that golden child there, that will do the job really well, pay them well, and give them a reason to continue to work for you. It can work out very very well for you in the long run.

It is not important which freelancing site you are using, but it is too important which freelancer you are using. Before hiring any freelancer, you should take a glance on his profile, previous work history & feedback. I believe every freelancing site must have both expert & inexpert people. so you should check their work history.

IMO Freelancer, oDesk can be pricey. I would suggest you to find out a seller on Fiverr and hire him to do it. Negotiate the price...

If you have some free time you can do it yourself quite easily. Take a look at this links

How to play Photoshop Actions on Multiple Images with Batch Editing - Digital Photography School

There are a lot of tutorials that can teach you how to make a simple Photoshop action and automate the processes. If you however want to hire someone to do it for you you can visit oDesk and Elance. Since this kind of work can be done quite fast, I suggest setting up an hourly paid job.
