Put what you learnt into action, you really won't learn anything theorically.

You have to start taking action, that's the only way you will succeed.

Start simple. Go register a domain, a host, start putting a simple website together, rite some content on your website and sign up for affiliate sites and put banners / lins on your pages..
and drive traffic using free and paid means...

Taking Action, Is better than reading 100 articles.

the best way to learn is from trial and error.. Its unlikely that your first ever sie is going to be successful, but you will learn a hell of a lot from it regardless.. It takes ppl a good few sites before they start seeing serious green from it..

Hey, and welcome to the forum. If you've read guides and stuff about affiliate marketing, you're probably ready to jump in. Making money online is one of those things where you learn the most by doing. With that said, the first thing you should have decided on is the niche market you want to go into (i.e. dating, weight loss, a sport like golf - very popular, toys, electronics, learn Spanish, learn guitar, fashion, pet care - dog training is popular, gardening, and so on). You should choose a niche that's not only profitable but one you know a little something about.

Choosing a niche that you're already in will help you to write content and better help you to connect with your audience. For example, I was a Spanish major in college, so that's the first site I created. Since I was already in the niche, I was also familiar with a lot of the products, so I was just able to write from my head. You should have an idea of the products you want to promote within your niche before you get started as well. Once you know this stuff, you basically hit the ground running and get traffic to your site.

I would say pick and choose a proven business model ( there are many) and stick to it. There will be times during this process when the Model seems to not be working. This period happens to all of us.

But many people quit , when right around the corner Success would have appeared. Just so close and the person hangs it up too early

I tell this to everyone that's new in affiliate. The best way to start is just to set up your first domain. Don't expect it to be a huge success. But your second one may be!
You will learn SO MUCH when doing all that. Reading to much can cause information overload and scare you and you will not know what to do anymore.

Get a domain and a host, set up webmastertools and google analytics (important)

It won't cost you much, and when starting in affiliate marketing, sooner or later you will need your own domain.

Pick a topic, any topic. Register a domain at namecheap. Connect it to your host (hostgator, ipage, etc). Connect it to google webmaster tools, google analytics. Put out some content and promote your first clickbank product. track your visitor. read about SEO. By doing all that you will learn A LOT more than by reading the all that crap over and over again.

Don't be intiminated by all the stuff you need to do, it's fun and informative, go step-by-step. Hostgator and other big hosting companies offer 1-click-wordpress installation. Pick a theme and start your page.

Be persistent, don't expect immediate results.

Starting a blog is good, but in these days it is hard to get Pagerank and rank in SERPS for new domains. For affiliate marketing you go with what you thought and want to start, then ask questions about it here.
Make sure get a great domain that should match niche what you want. If you are not sure consult someone in this forum so they can proceed you with ease.
