Privacy policy, terms of services, disclaimer... I can't make it.

Hi!
I've seen few terms of services generator, and I bought my privacy policy to a website... I couldn't see what they've generated before paying, and now I'm not satisfied.

I've seen a lot of privacy policy with this statement: Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily make your personal information available for viewing by third parties online - for example on message boards, web logs, through email, or in chat areas - that information can be seen, collected and used by others besides us. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of such information.

And the whole privacy is really great, but I wonder where it has been generated. If anyone has tips for me... It would be very appreciated!

    Honestly, NOBODY ever reads your site's privacy policy so I think you're over-thinking this. Just contact the company you bought from and ask them to add that clause to the text, then you're good to go. You have that in place to protect you legally, so it doesn't really have to be a work of art. It just has to state how you handle information and have disclaimers to protect you.

      Exactly, although California can have additional requirements for a privacy policy.

      The other issues in the title of this thread about terms of service and disclaimers are different and need to be focused on issues relating to your website - whatever your website is about.

      If you bought generic terms and are not satisfied - you're probably out of luck for getting any money back. If you believe you need additional privacy language beyond what was generated, just write it yourself.
