Does Christian Niche Profitable?

Hello guys. I want to enter the Christian niche. I'm a Christian and wants to share my faith by blogging while gaining some profit. Is this niche profitable? Are Christians good buyers? Thanks!

You can do that but in order to get profit from that you need to introduce your aim well. If they are satisfied I think they will by it.

Does no one else notice the irony of a Christian asking a marketing forum if Christians are good buyers?

If you are truly a Christian, you seem to be the best person to do that kind of research yourself. Ask round, see what kind of things Christians want to read about and what things would they be interested in paying for.

Over the years I have promoted several merchants which sell Christian products. Like any niche it is a mixed bag.

For some products and merchants there is an incredible amount of profitable traffic. Even books sell well, where I thought Amazon had the market.

Other products and merchants do not, and I have seen a few go out of business.

There is massive traffic to tap into. To make it profitable - from my experience I suggest referring to larger merchants who can better convert your visitors.

No irony at all. He is just asking to see if any Marketers here have had experience with a certain demographic, which happens to be buyers who are of Christian Faith.

      Sounds smart to me

People are consumers regardless of faith. You have to go even more specific in your niche than Christian though ie.. music, books, teens, parents, inspiration, grief, snake charming, faith healing etc...

The Christian shop near my house has been in business since I've been here (about 5 years). Their rent has to be between $2,600-3,200 per month (based on other stores in the same strip). So, I assume they're turning a profit. Which leads me to believe it's a profitable market.

I would be more concerned about: how they market (online/offline?), what they market (types of products?), where they market (at churches? events?), etc.

I worked at a major company. They have a lot of specialty cruises.

Well, our most profitable week was when we had a group of use car sales men.

OK so our least profitable week was when we had a Christian cruise.

Actually, we made no money in the bar or in casino.....

Have you ever heard of guys like Billy Graham or T.D. Jakes. They are what you would consider the authorities in your niche. You could monetize by two ways.

      1. Amazon sells tons of books on the Christian Faith. You can become an affiliate and promote these books to your readers.

      2. Write your own ebook that share your experiences with your faith and promote it to your readers or sell it on kindle.

I recommend that you build an email list with this kind of market.

They'd only be the authorities in your "niche" if you are targeting evangelicals or charismatics. Catholics, Mormons, 7th Day Adventists etc may not even care about what they have to say.

I really think you need to think a little more specific here.

Christian is not a niche. That's like saying Caucasian is a niche.

Christians struggling with divorce is a niche. Christians struggling with pornography addiction is a niche. Christian survivalists is a niche. Christians interested in home schooling their children is a niche.

You can make money with all of those niches. Christians that are dealing with those problems or have those interests will spend money just like any other person dealing with those problems. Hyper targeting Christians in those niches allows you to specialize your message and convert even better.

Making money online is not about casting a wide net and trying to drag in whoever you can. It's about finding the right audience and speaking directly to their needs and desires.

Break your "Christian" mega-niche into something much more specific and you'll have a much better chance of success.

Great idea! I'm going to go see if CaucasianMarketplace.com, CrackerSeller.com or BuyFromWhitey.com is available right now!

Hopefully everyone realizes that was a joke.

Anything can be profitable nowadays. I think it was yesterday that the thread about selling snow was the topic. It's just how you package your product (whatever it may be, you didn't say it). I think religion in particular is a huge market, people tend to buy anything that they believe would strengthen their faith. May it be a necklace, a book of prayers or a CD of praises.

Wow! Thanks for the support guys. It's fun to read your comments. Some are informational, and some are funny. Thanks for the tips. I already have some products to promote in line, already applied for affiliate, and already have a blog. I just want to hear from you guys if it's worth the time to promote products to Christians. I would still continue my blog anyway, if I won't profit from it.

  • I don't know, however the best way to check is..

    1) Go to ClickBank marketplace.
    2) See how many affiliate products there are?
    1-10 = Bad Niche
    11-20 = Ok Niche
    20+ = Good Niche

    3) Check the Gravity (Sales in last week/month) of the #1 product in that niche
    1-20 = Bad
    21-40 = Ok
    41+ = Good Niche

    Hope this helps

I would simply put this into google and see what other marketers say about this particular querie.

But i do know christian dating offers through CPA are good, use a traffic source like POF (Plenty of fish)

you can do some awesome targeting with this!

Yes the Christian niche is very profitable. But it's also a huge niche. You'll find more success by diving into sub niches .

For example.. Internet Marketing is a huge niche... but it's highly unprofitable if you try t trget everyone at once instead of a sub niche of people.

People that want to learn affiliate marketing are in the internet marketing niche... same goes for people wanting to learn how to drive traffic...

Instead of trying to target everyone at once find a small target...

You can target people in the Christian niche that may be Baptist or w.e the cas may be. You can also target people that like certain verses in the bible or certain chapters.

    The options are limitless...

I see Christian people all the time with T-Shirts that has something religious. You can tap into that and use facebook.

I would say you can definitely make some money in that niche. Just learn how to monetize the revenue to your blog very well. You can look for affiliate products in the Christian and Religion Niche.

You can also make some money from Google Adsense and advertising programs like that.

If you are very passionate about writing on those topics, I would say just go for it and figure out how to make money from your traffic's revenue later. It will take some time before you have enough revenue to make a profit out of it.

    I wish you the best!

    Cheers!

If you wanna sell products to a Christian audience, you could always try a collection of rosaries, maybe some blessed candles or other devotional artifacts that are unique and have value.

You can also sell books in faith for spiritual enlightenment, anything that would have value to devoted Christians. As a Christian yourself try to brainstorm ideas that would sell in a faith lit community, which will help you greatly in selecting your products to sell.
