C'mon People! Do It Right The First Time

I am so sick of seeing people post crap all over the forum like any of these:

"Product Creation is easy just right a 10,000 PDF!"

"You can outsource product creation for $1/1,000 words it only costs $10 to
outsource a product to sell"

etc.

You measure a good product by value not length.

I could create a 250 word product packed with tons of value that would sell for $97 and would create a flurry of continued hyper-responsive buyers than your piece of crap 100,000 word product any day.

Just a thought.

Main Point: Quality>Quantity

Very good point.. product creation can be very easy. But the point is value, not length. The focus on creating a product needs to be finding a problem and solving the problem... if you can solve it in 250 words the buyers will be too busy putting your solution into action to complain that it was short!

Remember, when it comes to creating a product.. size doesn't matter,it's what the product does that counts!

There's another truth to that theory, if you give people too much information these days... they wouldn't know what to do with it all. I see this with several memberships, books, and training based products... they over-whelm, rather than just give the buyer a simple golden nugget of information.

Nowadays, it seems the leading affiliates are 'giving away' 20 products just to vie for the attention of a potential buyer, and while it does give more value... most will never likely assemble it all.

Unfortunately it's all about perceived value - which has little bearing on real value. Videos - Guides - ebooks... and down the line.

And probably the truth is a 10 hour video course is going to sell even if its mostly padding (really doesn't everyone know how to open a hostgator account by now?)while a 100 line post actually detailing the same thing isn't.

Sad but true we have been trained to respond to volume - so much so that without a big hullabaloo we don't value something that might be really great.

Yes, that's why the advertising and marketing industry is what it is today. The best practitioners in both know the psychology of taking people through the buying experience. As they say, people love to buy but don't want to to be sold. Creating a great buying experience will go a long way towards making more sales. Ideally, you want the quality of your product to match if not exceed their buying experience. But I will agree that there is a lot of fluff out there with no substance.

  • Agreed.

    Quality always trumps quantity..

The key to outsourcing is to have both,

    Quality and quantity.

you are right, but its a sad thing that most of people jump on quantity, instead of quality

When peoples are busy or have plenty of options to choose, then they go for quantity!! I think it is natural.

That would be too much like right. As product creators we look at products with a different eye than thethe average consumer.

Most people want quantity to feel as if theyre getting the money worth. Thats why some products come with 10 million bonuses.

As product creators we need to find a balance that works.

There is literally some information a page long that has so much valuable stuff on it, it can sell for thousands.

Conversely, there are reports that have thousands of pages that are worth no more than a few pennies if that
