Hello,

I have a question what does gravity mean in Click bank how many people are doing affiliate marketing for 1 product? If yes a high gravity number would mean that its less likely to be a scam?
Thank you

      Hear hear

I would love to know the answer to this. Nobody that I have asked has been able to give a definitive and satisfactory answer. (It's a bit like the UK football offside rule lol)

From what lots of people say, it's the number of affiliates that have made a sale over a specified period of time (think it's a month or something like that). I know that it's also weighted, and there are a number of factors taken into acct. In terms of it being a scam, Clickbank has cracked down on the products it allows to be listed on its marketplace over the years, so chances are, many of the products are of high-quality.

I promote some within IM and outside of IM. I haven't had any refunds on the products I've promoted that are outside of the "make money online" niche. With that said, I always make sure to either buy the product and check it out first or ask for review access before I wrote about it. Don't just go off the sales page and stuff like that.

The problem is how you interpret the results.

    This is a detailed explanation:
ClickBank Articles: What is ClickBank Gravity? | cbgraph help

This is the definition from Clickbank:

Gravity: Number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by promoting the vendor's products during the past 12 weeks. This is not an actual number of affiliates. For each affiliate an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 is added to the result, depending on when his/her last transaction occurred. More recent transactions are given a higher value.

  • GRAVITY performance statistic, this number represents a unique calculation by ClickBank that takes into account the number of different affiliates who earned a commission by promoting this product over the past 12 weeks. Since more recent transactions are given a higher value, this number can give you an idea of what products are “hot” at the moment, in terms of being promoted by many affiliates and making a good number of sales. However, high gravity can also indicate that there will be a lot of competition in promoting this product.

The number of posts made on here as a member or the length of membership means nothing.
Which wasn't the point. The point was the number of thanks and the amount of helpfulness.

Some cause-oriented hackers recently hacked one of my websites. So I researched what they're about and then donated a large sum of money to the entity they hate the most.

The next time they hack one of my websites I'm going to donate DOUBLE.

I'm not sure of the exact time schedule
