Suggest what to promote for a "Veterinarian" Email List

Hi Everyone,

I have a list of about 8000 "Veterinarian/Veterinary Clinics & Hospitals" Email List.

Can you please suggest me what type of product or services i can promote especially from affiliate networks like ShareASale, Commission Junction(CJ) and LinkShare to this niche?

Most of the emails are just Gmail accounts and does not have their own website. I am looking for a service that Vet Clinics are very interested in.

Thank You in Advance

Sure, just look at what a vet buys every month and find a supplier that can provide better quality or a better price. An eBook on marketing their practice better would be golden too.

      Try PETCO, Coupaw.com, EntirelyPets.com, OnlyNaturalPets.com, PetCareChoice.com, VetApprovedRX.xom, and TotalPetSupply.com.

These are all on CJ.com and they all have pretty good EPC's.

Thank for the specific information. I have selected and got approved for "VetApprovedRX.com". I am going to promote this site to the list.

Also do you know any services that veterinarians usually need?

VetApproxedRX is not someplace a vet would be ordering from, but that they would be recommending to their clients.

You've said twice so far that most do not have a web site. What about web site creation?

The recommendations may work for "pet owners" - but not for veterinarians.

Vets have access to wholesale meds and pet supplies - they are visited by account reps for companies that provide vet supplies and private labels pet care products.

If you have unique products they could resell to their customers - you might have something...but they would need to be quite unique. One idea might be products that could be private labeled with the vets business name.

I don't agree that most vets don't have web sites - the vets I visit have had good, interactive sites for several years.

I have to agree. One of my customers sells to vets both on the pharma as well dry goods side of things. Understand how vets get sold to:

Pharma: the reps go directly to them. If you could find a way to find them hard to find medicines like Apoquel, most would jump at it.

Prescription Food: Science Diet and Purina own the vet world. They fund the vet schools and have reps that sell directly to the vet clinics.

Medical Supplies: Local distributor that can deliver and bill them on net 30 terms.

Other dry goods: They will go through a wholesale distributor that can give the good prices. Those that are price sensitive already order direct or go through Amazon.

So, sending ads for essentially competitors of theirs will not help you one bit. That is like sending everyone who works at Walmart ads for Amazon or Target.

What do Vets need? Realize, at least where I live, a typical vet visit runs about $150 to $200. They make money marking up the prescriptions, selling dog food, shampoo, etc. So more clients is the way to go. Like others have said:

              Website - Build them one
Email Marketing - How to do it
Graphics and other resources for customers

The only physical good I would look at would be in the new pet products category. A few years back, thunder shirts were huge so if you could have been a distributor for them, you could sell that into the vets at wholesale. An all natural soothing shampoo, etc.

Ideally, you want to promote something that will get you recurring revenue, not a one shot deal that, once they buy it you will get nothing more out of it.

Are these email addresses/contact details of the actual Vet Clinics themselves? ie Their business emails? If so, the best thing to promote to them would be a local/online marketing course on how to get more exposure in the search engines for their website and generate more traffic, leads and business. Each of them would presumably have a website. I would have thought this type of offer would have the most interest. Not sure you would find these products in the networks you mention. Perhaps search clickbank or google 'local marketing courses' and see what appears in results, looks good and credible and if they have an affiliate program.

Maximum of the business email are just Gmail accounts and does not have their own website thus offering online marketing course will not work. I am looking for a service that Vet Clinics are very interested in.

If it's the vet clinics themselves, I'd be looking for places that sell items in bulk (preferably for a cheaper price like others mentioned).. If it's for the people who use clinics, I'd be targeting RX items like flea medicine.

I think you can do joint venture business with local veterinary doctors or drug stores or drug companies.

First we have to ask, How did you obtain this list??

They all requested that they be put on your list? 8000, I don't mean to be cynical but, I do not think they did.

So, remember, if they did not opt in to "YOUR" list, then you are spamming
