I know some people have received e-mails from Google about PII Policy Breach. I never received one, but I just got an e-mail from them thanking me for resolving the issue.

Dear Publisher,

We have now verified that we are no longer detecting PII being passed to Google from the account(s) under your control.

Thank you for helping to resolve this matter.

That's weird. I worried at first because I thought I had violated something. Then I read the message again. But does it mean they detected a breach and I just didn't get an e-mail?

Has it happen to anyone else?

Exactly the same thing happened to me. My guess is that Google just sent these by mistake, so I'm not going to fret about it.

  I just got the email this morning and it freaked me out for a sec. It appears to be an issue on Google's end.

  I received it too. At first I thought it was a spam email. After checking around, it seems a lot of people are getting it as well. Doesn't seem like nothing though.

The Google AdSense Help Forum is lighting up with AdSense publishers claiming they received a "Policy Breach Notice" email from Google for passing personally identifiable information (PII) through their ads.
