Getting back in the IM game as service provider....

Hey guys,

Been a long time since I've been in the warrior forum!

A few years back my brother and I ran a pretty successful article writing business through here. We had about 6 writers under us plus ourselves and did pretty well.

We also ran about a dozen or so amazon sites that got up to almost $2k a month...before a giant Panda sat on all of them. We also built Amazon review sites for others which was a good gig.

After Panda and Penguin changed everything I got a little discouraged regarding SEO and just focused on my day job and taking on a few web design clients offline.

I am really looking to get back into IM again, I still have some of those old Amazon review sites and they still get sales from the handful of visitors they get from yahoo and bing. If I can figure a way to get traffic to them they will make money.

However as I get my own properties built up I would like to start getting back into providing services to other warriors and IM'ers. I know there is always a demand for educated native english speaking writers, and people who are handy with wordpress, html and css.

My questions is (finally ) Is the warrior forum warriors for hire section still the best place to go, or would the Freelancer.com website be my best bet to start getting some gigs?

Where are the good spots, and I won't do fiverr sorry $5 for an article is not worth my time.

BTW what are people paying for well written well researched articles now a days?

Thanks for any insight you guys can give me, great to be back on the WF!

Why not have your review site advertised with Google, Yahoo/Bing? That way you can make more money because pay per click marketing still works really well.

I would pick the Warriors for Hire section for consistency, assuming your product is very good, and Freelancer.com would be a consideration if you wanted bigger, higher-end orders. But Freelancer.com has way more competition so it would take you a lot longer to build a reputation and get repeat business.

It's all a matter of what your goals are. I think it's easier to stand out in the crowd on Warrior Forum because there are less competitors. Plus, our warriors here are always looking for great writers. If your service stands out as special, warriors on this forum will be loyal customers.

$1.00 to $2.00 dollars per 100 words seems to be the going rate for quality, bargain-basement deals for articles. But I've seen those numbers a little higher.

        Thanks Jonathan,

I found all my old WFH posts with the reviews so that should help me get back at it. $1.00 -$2.00/100 is not going to cut it though. I was getting $3/100 when I did this before and that would be the minimum I would write for.

I guess I will think about doing a post here and see what happens.

        Thanks guys.
